I really want to participate in this, but I am not good at artistic drawings. Ever since I was in school I was good at mathematics, geometrical and technical views, not art - I really suck when it comes to art. As such I had to find a way with problem solving by thinking outside the box, therefore I outsourced it.
Like any doubtful parent, if there is one thing I did right so far, that's having a family, so I kindly begged my daughter (7 years old, next human version in line after me) to make a drawing for me with instructions provided about a dad passionate for computers (like I am) and his daughter (like her). Servers were too much for her to understand at 7 years old, so I did not even bother going that far with explanations. She imagined a dad connected to his work using a mobile phone attached to his neck, while spending time together with his daughter on a green field, in a sunny day (quite rare in Ireland).
I must admit this ended up even better than the artificial intelligence. To me, this drawing is a true work of art, but maybe this is just be admiring the uniqueness of my daughter - an uniqueness of which I am proud, and a work for which I am grateful. There isn't much a dad can ask from his children - parents understand this kind of love. Therefore I am proud of outsourcing my entry.
Critics would probably say this is AI. For that I have pictures of my daughter drawing, just like any parent has pictures of his family backed up into an encrypted cloud.
Other critics would probably comment how the picture depicts me and my daughter instead of Eric, but that's the beauty of it: nobody knows Eric! From what we both know (me and my daughter) Eric may represent any responsible dad in a symbolic way, since generally speaking all parents love their children to the best of their abilities.
If I win or not, I don't care at this point. I am proud of my daughter and of her help to my entry.
That has to be my most favorite art entry in this whole thread.
Damn, this is serious competition.
