    which one did you get?

I just like the ram upgrade is cheap.. was gonna go for 16 GB but then for an extra $5 their previous offer with the 2TB would have been a better deal so I stuck with 8GB ram.

    LOL, tell me about IT!!

Ah what the hey, just embrace your addiction, buy it don't fight it :)

  • And just yesterday it was still $39. Wonder if they'll lower the price for those who have that particular dedi now.

    the earlier option was better

seems like they are playing a lot with their rates...

But the $39 has higher specs.. if you try to build that same spec it will cost more on this plan..to upgrade the main drive to 2TB alone is already a $20/mo addon

Probably not getting too many bites with the last offer.. well at least not on this X4, seems the sex core is still going @ $49.. but we will see if that stays.

Probably too many competition this month with volumedrive and OVH, guest they have to adapt.

maybe they have a replacement coming up..

  • After 20tb Limited to 10mbps?

not sure to be honest.. I think I asked them about this a while back and I think they suspend, I just wanted to make sure that they will not start charging overages! but then again 20TB is a lot! not sure how many people can use that up in a month?

  • Spec looks better than 14.99 euro online.net... I must hold myself...hold...

  • I am still wondering what the hell is $37 core2duo 1.8GHz doing there.

Well if the 5 IP's don't entice you.. maybe the 1Gbit port? but at the rate it's going maybe holding off is the best bet.. who knows what offer they will have tomorrow.

  • YES but "no overage fee" makes me feel safer :)

Probably over estimated the popularity of an intel CPU?

I know..I feel the same way, just ask them to confirm. or you go for wholesale, they have 100Mbit unmetered but it's really the same 1Gbit port like DS

  • can not get more than 2-3 MBs from test files

    No KVM/IPMI I suppose?

I guess there are on demand though. At least it's that way with WII

Yeah, it's on demand, you can require one in the the order form by DS. See the "operating system" drop down list, the last one is "setup temporary kvm blahblah...".

  • Very very tempting... I was really looking at an OVH but the 1 IPv4 is a real turnoff, although OVH comes with a nice new 2TB HDD...

  • I had to order one. Just HAD to.

Not sure where you are at, but if you get decent speeds with WII you will pretty much get the same with DS.. I noticed in test DL that I normally get pretty horrible speeds from leaseweb in NL, but everything else is ok..

Not dedicated, but you can request one..

Like I mentioned before you should try installing proxmox or vmware(not sure if it's supported on this) so you don't need to mess about with the host OS..

I intend to mess around with virtualization. :)

  • What an awesome offer.. Purchased, done! Ive reasonable expectations 500gb is handy to capture some market data on a side project..

you can do a nested proxmox.. works better if you install vmware since you can instal proxmox as a vmware guest but you cannot install vmware inside a KVM guest in proxmox.
