I am not familiar with it myself. Just see its documentation: https://linux.die.net/man/1/ipmitool
I am at the same point, did you finally get an update?
Deems a little obscure. Thanks any ways would love to see if we can create a session to make management easier...
Mine says complete on my invoice but in progress for setting up server.
Thanks, will try to get more patience.
Maybe you should go to technical support if you’re past the admin.
@ninzo59 all gone ? all order processed or still pending ?
What do you mean?
Raise a ticket with tech support and tell them your server is still pending delivery after all payment and verification was completed last week.
Obviously assuming you haven’t already raised 7,000 tickets with them.
It’s going to be hard shaking off that rep. I deserve it.
I’ll wait until tomorrow and see if it delivers.
Proxmox with ZFS raid0 makes everything better (obviously caching in the ram is going on)
`root@helabox:~# curl -sL yabs.sh |bash

Yeah that is how I am seeing the network configuration and user name, dont need credentials for local IPMI access. I am going to heed OVH's warning of "dontchange" though, and use it for no more than collectd sensor readings
Can you share more details please on how you are accessing ipmi via ipmitool? Thnx
apt install ipmitool
Also
ipmitool lan print
,ipmitool sensor

server will not boot after you need to add hwaddress to the respective entry in /etc/network/interfaces

if u foget to do it before the update u can do it in the recuse mode. yet me know if you have any problems!
can confirm that on my gravelands.
However, looks like an internal vpn, which is good and bad at the same time.
Yep if there is one plus for desktop grade hardware, it's the lack of backdoors
No way. They will manually install your server and remove the extra RAM and HDD from higher specs to meet your order.
I don’t know if anyone is like me. My machine has not been activated since the order placed on November 24th. I sent them a ticket midway. Buy tickets ID160401383
According to the invoice mine is stuck on the last step. Installation of sever.
I'm still waiting for a reply on a refund ticket since 1st of December. So if they do that eventually, that's one more server for you who are waiting for installation. If not, then I guess I will be transferring it some time later. But if they just don't reply to tickets, I wonder how one does even transfer then.
I still have one I want to sell if anyone is interested.
Mine got delivered today, after being stuck for a couple of days on a paid invoice.
Letting go my KS-LE if offer is right
here
I just got access to my Kimsufi CA, I got lucky with it too and got 1 GBps Up and 500 Mbps Down as opposed to my FR LE with 100 Mbps up and 500 Mbps down. It's 2 x 2 TB though. I planned on letting go one of these because the CA one was an order out of desperation (FOMO). Now, I'm not too sure. I got one with 2 x 4 TB and one with 1Gbps Up! I don't know if what would be better, storage or speed?
Would keep probably speed. Crap bandwidth is a severely limitating factor once you get into "serious" use.
Plus, easier (and safer) to find extra storage, than to find another beefy cpu with extra bandwidth speed.
Thanks, I was thinking that, too. I already have many storage VPS so I may let go of the 2 x 4 TB... Still contemplating as of this moment but I may make a decision in a week or two. One things for sure now though, I'm keeping one of them and I'm keeping the speed.
I'll take 2x4tb b4 you drop it.
If I ever decide to drop it, you're 2nd in line.
Sure thing, take the time to make a proper offer thread when the time comes - and once the current craze has subsided, too
