Free hosting company die within 3 to 6 month max. Still you have chance to change logo, change domain and do not use "cpanel".
Anyone else notice its not even real cPanel on the freecpanel?
@eurobia what is the % chance that Turkey will deport you back to Syria?
As juvenile as making a site to protest the removal of and rehosting fight videos is, you actually probably were actually in a much much better position to win this in a US court, depending on the content of the site, due to a specific exception carved out of US copyright law that explicitly protects parody
If you were offering genuine cPanel and not another related product on that domain, the use of Word Mark and perhaps even Design Marks would be allowed under Fair Use Doctrine.
If you created non-related product, for example accounting software or app for controlling LED panels called CPanel, their Word Mark protection would not apply, since it protects "Computer software for facilitating the management and configuration of Internet web servers".
In your case it is obvious you are blatantly abusing the trademark and making gain from their name. The US trademark protection does not extend to foreign countries, but US have claimed global jurisdiction over .COM and .NET domains so your domain will be seized and if damages are assessed, any of your US assets including other domains may be collected. If you decide to ignore letters from US court, you may be found in contempt and civil offense becomes criminal and there have been cases where foreigners were allowed to be extradited to USA based on that.
Dude, seriously? This is the funniest shit I read the whole month. Just reply to their email and wish them Happy April Fool and rebrand your business asap. Otherwise, some smoke will come out of your ass.

Ironic really, if you'd charged for your service you'd maybe be able to afford legal advice. Not sure why you're surprised, though.
Just FYI cPanel aware of this thread and will probably start legal process soon
You are not the first one to notice this. :-P
This panel is just a ripoff provided for free by ifastnet. I used to have this "free hosting company" service like five years ago. It was the definition of sh*t.
Isn't it cPanel in the screenshot, or am I missing something?
0% chance
I was wondering when cpanel will take away his domain. I'm also one of those who are waiting for his domain to be taken away haha.
Let's wait then
@eurobia any update? did cpanel haunt you?
you should registered your domain as trademark in your country.cpanel different thefreecpanel.maybe you will be win if your motherland is different from cpanel based. Hahaha
It looks like he already lose from them. It's redirecting to cpanel.net now.
Am curious how much $ you were making.
Also, was it because of your logo / wording on the site? Or was it how you were using their license?
I noticed this a few weeks ago. It was only a question of time before the OP (@eurobia) would be taken down by cPanel.
Now he can start thefreedirectadmin.com
Switch to Copyleft software when Copyright doesn't work for you.
There are a lot of other panels. Switch to Hestiacp.com or Cyberpanel.
Not really what this thread was about. (Perhaps you should read the thread from the beginning.)
You should have legally changed your name to Thefreec Panel. Then you have a case.
wow, in the home page CPANEL it's written 30 times
now under a new TLD: https://thefreecpanel.co.uk/
is that a joke?
wooops..
I'm off to register colocrossingh.com
coloncrossing, tks.
still alive, but now under a new TLD: https://thefreecpanel.co.uk/
Hmm, you're right, he seems to be incorrigible.
But I wonder:
Previously, the main issue was that he was not offering cPanel for free, despite the name "thefreecpanel" that he had chosen, which was misleading.
The question is whether this has changed since then: is he now offering free cPanel hosting? The following statement suggests that he is:
(From https://thefreecpanel.co.uk/cpanel-hosting/ )
If he is offering free cPanel hosting now, then he may be safe for a while, but if he's not, then cPanel will take him down again soon.
Enjoyed this: https://thefreecpanel.co.uk/cpanel-net-is-trying-to-shutdown-our-website/
Not sure what that monster hosting diagram has to do with anything, but...
I guess now that they are an OFFICIAL company, cPanel is trembling...

Some of their blog posts are straight up hilarious.

"This post may not be sweet, please swallow it like that.."
The OP linked to this in his opening comment, but that link is dead now because it referred to his previous site
thefreecpanel.com
.Anyway, it may be more difficult for cPanel to go after a domain with a country TLD such as
co.uk
than a domain with.com
.
