We've been stable at Fiberhub since the last outage ended at about 3:37 PM EST. I asked for a RFO. They said they would provide one tomorrow.
Fiberhub has to be a buzzing hub right now. So many providers moving in. Plus Fiberhub has been active with its own direct sales.
These things happen.
Buyvmstatus looks all good almost entirely green.
To me it seems very small, the multiple outages today didnt even make WHT. I have a feeling this move is going to really hurt the BuyVM brand.
You do realize these were not facility-wide outages, right?
Well it was more than one provider.... it was not a limited outage. Regardless, Fiberhub is still small.
We colo in FH and experienced no downtime whatsoever.
I have a half rack and I was out for a while. But for the price we pay its fine.
BuyVM down again?
OMG! Suddently i received lots of down time notifications again.. Heart attack!

uhh... yeah.
So much red!
Looks like BuyVM is down in a big way:

Ouch! This migration is damn painful!
rip
Wishful thinking.
That's because BuyVM is still on-site in Vegas doing their move/migration.
They proactively let customers know a month before and reminded folks in an email a week before. They also maintain (although not working during move) active web accessible IRC channel anyone can jump on and get other humans talking about BuyVM matters.
All of us paying attention knows the move had some bumps along the way. But it was planned and you should expect some of this. Problems likely for rest of the week, that's how migrations tend to go.
This is in stark contrast to losing a dozen servers with everyone's data... (cough cough) and blaming it on some control panel hack (cough cough).
The apocalypse has begun.
Did the circuit breaker melt again? Fiberhub.com is down as well.
Edit: nevermind, just slow...
Up for me as of now
I have a VPS within Fiberhub from another provider. It is up.
So the facility is online.
Fiberhub.com loading fine for me from here.
Seems like it could be-
Anyone know if something was planned for 12:30AM Eastern time? That was when this went down.
If it was I don't think they told anybody.
Who runs the buyvmstatus.com?
Looks like buyvm.net if correct (same name in monitor = same URL) points over to awknet (California).
That would indicate the routing magic @Francisco implemented likely got snagged or pulled if they are doing the router swap.
As per the email that went out last week:
"There will be an additional network outage on the 20th when we cut over to our new networking setup - we're estimating a max downtime of 10 minutes; in reality, it should be no more than 1-2 minutes to bring the router online and get the cables swapped over."
I'd hope this outage is an extension of that.
@Jack, yeah that is strange routing. Where were you running a traceroute to?
@vld
I am guessing Franciso and guys are on it now. It is really scary to see so much red on http://buyvmstatus.com/
@pubcrawler - click any node from buyvmstatus it gives you the ip
Back online it seems.
Looks like it's back up.
And we are back...
I suspect that was the promised router / network cutover.
