  • A bit curious why washington is so slow, that's just up north a bit.

Softlayer's routing is really bizarre. Those Softlayer benchmarks are always strange when I've tested. They have 1-2 test sites per location, you can get drastically different tests depending on which one you use.

If you need better routing to Softlayer WDC, stick in a ticket and ask them to escalate it to NetOps.

  • Here's Dacentec's Bench / Mirror speed test list running on Delimiter, guessing a lot will compare.

    Network Tests
    Download speed from CacheFly: 108MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 89.2MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 71.2MB/s
Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 12.9MB/s
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 34.3MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 7.73MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 27.9MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 30.5MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 67.7MB/s

It's specifically that test, it's slow on every box I try. Some days it'll be good, other days it'll be showing KB/s. Whatever test server that's pulling from is bunk.

Meh, they've got the aggregate & transit... it's more the... redundancy part.

I like this. Much less hops. (side note: latency is a bit high, but that's only because I'm maxing out my upload speed)

Been a long time since I've seen twtelecom ever since they've been acquired lol

Irrespective of whether they are good or bad, many of the customers here have experienced quite a number of outages and they want to move to another provider.

If you are happy with their service, then you should remain with it and enjoy it. There is no compulsion to move.

As for your comment about DDOS, you seem to know more about this matter than anyone else here. Until your clarification about your DDOS, we believed it was just a failure of their backhaul.

BTW situaçao not cituaçao - if you are going to play the 'I am really a foreigner' game then spell it right.

  • msthteam said: what is problem?

We can't understand you other than you're talking about DDOS.
