no one noticed this? with hardware raid, it's very well ...lol
Dell 2xL5420 16GB 2X2TB Rent Only 16GB 2x2TB HW $30.00 USD / Monthly
Raid card is extra unfortunately, otherwise I would hop on also.
@dacentec the default can't support hardware raid?
Default said "Onboard Sata Controller" which I assume is just SW raid. HW raid needs the raid card which was $25 extra a month.
btw the $20 server is back..
@dacentec Wondering if this one has iDrac with remote media.
also want know, and which model type of dell?
Got a /48 allocation for IPv6
I don't see any $20 dedi servers on the site
@Ruriko: These servers come (on an average of once a day) but do go a lot quicker. You have to be fast. Visit the page very often
keep refresh, or use some monitoring tools
don't know any stocking monitoring tools and I'm not a programmer so can't make my own
whoever bought those Dell servers let us know if they have RAID and iDRAC.
@FrankZ Ditto -:) grabbed one x3440 then had Debian7 installed over KVM. Very helpful support.
Snap the Supermicro Opteron 1385 16GB 2X2TB @ $25.00 USD / Monthly. Great deal.
Edit: drop my ks-3 for this -> 2X2TB.
Available now.
Most definitely support is helpful, Steven is awesome. Had a little issue with the server not responding to the provisioning tool, they fixed it and re-installed the OS I wanted for me.
Impressive. Server delivered in 3 hours!
Western Digital RE4-GP
@Ruriko there's $20 Supermicro 6-bay Opteron 1381 8GB 2X2TB SATA now
well, the servers are just flying away and I still don't get one u_u
Long long ago (around 2 or 3 years) I tried their servers for a minecraft server.
CPU (don't remeber wich one ) and Storage (SAS) and RAM (16GB) for 30 dollars was a good offer that year.
Everything was fine, performance good. But the little problem what internet speed.
Not really good at all (UP not good - DOWN kind of).
I recomend their servers but not for games unless they don't a lot of UP - DOWN internet speed
>
The network has changed a lot since 2-3 years.
got a 20usd server.. not yet setup.. but real good deal
Sure it does, I don't have problems. I recomend them and my experience wasn't bad at all.
So if anyone is interested they can get a dedi with them.
Picked up a Supermicro 6-bay Opteron 1381 8GB 2X2TB SATA. Couldn't really say no for that price and that kind of storage.
The network is a lot better, we are adding Broadplex this month and Level 3 will be coming next month.
anyone have the ip subnet of 216.126..?
I have two server, one dell is 216.126.. and another 5150 is 199.191.., the network performance 216.126.. is much worse than 199.191.., I have made many tests within the two servers at the same time, the network speed of dell server is much worse than 5150, especially when wget the files which outside the USA, for example, from 5150 wget linode japan, always 10M/s, but from dell, only 500K/s, I have made many tests, all are same results, it's so strange
Anyone who got their server recently can give a network benchmark ????
Up / Download speed ??
I need an IP in order to test a simple ping .... if it is better I will give you one more chance.

Downloading from Linode Japan gives me 130KB/s max. Probably not a nice choice for Asian users.
