  • LA seems to be ok, but it's concerning their website is still down. Welp time to make sure I have my backups in order.

    Great idea!

A lot of Ignites previous customers would have had a less stressful time over the festive period if they had backups in place and didn't need to scramble to recover data. It's a hard way to learn.

  • You just gotta igniteeee the light... just own the night like it's the 4th of July... 'Cause, baby, you're a firework... Come on, show 'em what you're worth. Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah". As you shoot across the sky-y-y

  • Igniteservers ashburn is down aswell. It's not just one location that is down.

Anyone wants to give me a refugee offer?

    • 32mb ram
    • 32mb swap
    • 2gb hdd
    • unlimited traffic on 1gbps port
    • dedicated IPv4
    • 20gbps ddos protection

    3.39$/year

Yup it's key. Ignite is certainly turning into the next GVH especially after their "Hardware Upgrades" and the constant price changes. Thankfully the server is used for much but they are far from their 99% update or whatever they update the site to say...

  • Someone should rename this thread to "Goodbye IgniteServers".

Because they give crazy deals and people can't pass it up?

To be fair there are deals that are almost impossible to pass up. But buying from someone who has repeatedly shown that they're inexperienced in both running a business and managing servers is just... stupid.

I love crazy good offers but if I'd have to trust someone like @IgniteServers with my data and my personal info then nvm.

To each his own I guess. :)

    How does CC Dallas sound.

    128MB RAM
    0 Swap
    5GB HDD
    5TB @ 1Gbit
    No DDoS protection
    Dedicated IP
    $4/year

Holly crap you paid a lot. He was offering 1TB for $7 year lol.

  • Nothing wrong with chucking out a ton of 4GB $2 offers if it's run well to get some good publicity and reviews, but when you base your whole business around the idea of cheap cheap cheap things are going to go badly.

It's like those people that make money from YouTube with no backup plans or transferable skills, and they put their whole mortgage, health care and education costs into the hands of a Google service, which could be shut down or have its policies changed overnight...

    @tr1cky

We are ready to discuss about "refugee" offers, but with some little adjustment on their unlimited everything ;)

To do so, simply open a ticket at http://gdbi.pw/contact asking for refugee or PM me.

    Regards, David

Sounds bad and $4 a year is just doing anything to make a sale.

I'd say that's IPv6 pricing, but we know CC is IPv6 incapable.

Starting to think these failed hosts with insane prices are data collection companies. They'd make more selling customer details than they make on services.

Speaking of IPv6... If you can't spec match then stay out of it. The Ignite offers were stupid, no reason to go immitatating that.

Let these customer cleanly go out to the market seeking new services at realistic prices.

Ignite = GVH-like... Just need a few idealistic / opportunistic lazy companies to take it over and we'll have Groundhog day.

Rounding out nodes and deep discounts are fine. Good approach.

Good, but really need DDoS-protection or a system that autonulls for the time of the attack and never suspends for attacks.

  • Btw: Igniteservers responded to the paypal complaints that I opened.

Means that they deny any refund and try to keep the money.
Let's see what PayPal has to say about this. I advise you all to open a paypal conflict if you bought a server there.

    Hello, it's me

I was wondering if after all these days you'd like to speak

    To go over everything

They say that disputes are supposed to get your money back

But I ain't done much disputing

    Hello, can you hear me?

I'm in Canada dreaming about when my server worked

When we were younger and free

I've forgotten how it felt when I had my server connection

There's such a difference between us

    And our connections

    Hello from the other side

I must have opened a thousand tickets

To tell you I'm angry for everything that you've done

But when I call you never seem to be home

    Hello from the outside

At least I have my phone this time

To tell you I'm caling your mother

But it don't matter it clearly doesn't bug you anymore

    Hello, how are you

It's so typical of me to talk about my downtime

I hope that you're not exit scamming

Did you ever make it out of that PayPal dispute

It's no secret that the both of us

Are running out of time to open a disputed

So hello from the other side (other side)

I must have called a opened tickets thousands of times times (thousand times)

To tell you I'm mad for everything that you've done

But when I call you never seem to be home

    Hello from the outside (outside)

At least I can say that I've tried (I've tried)

This took me 10 minutes. Don't complain.

    @jarland

  • wtf. you've given cc 10 minutes worth of your time for free.
