No idea why people think XFS are here to save people from plight that GVH? As far as I am concerned, this is a pure business decision and last time I checked, XFS is not a charity. ...

All true, but I assume @XFS_Duke wants to ensure that Jon and GVH cannot interfere, tarnish his brand, or damage his own business and its good reputation. It would be guilt by association, among other things.

It is unusual for someone to buy the VPS customers but not the brand and website. Two of my three current VPSs are no longer owned by the original businesses where I signed up. The acquisitions included the brand, the website, etc.

Nekki, not like the porn star names of your VPS accounts eh? Lol

    Already breaching client confidentiality, eh?

That was a deliberate attempt to see if I'd get my account pulled under the no-porn rule thing. Failed :-(

  • @Nekki, nah, just clowning around with you. :) But yea, the porn thing, funny. I don't think CC cares overall.

And theres a point, how have you connected this account with my GVH accoun? Note on it?

Shouldn't have posted donkey porn buddy. Real porn is disallowed, all other types on the other hand... ;-)

  • No, I was told. :)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Donkey Porn lmao

Yeh I know, I've publicly discussed my account names in the past.

I'm sure CC don't care, but Jonny took the high-ground once.

  • It would only make sense for GVH to have a customer account <-> username list since it might come in handy.

  • @XFS_Duke said:

You can destroy my account like I asked now then, right?

  • Sure can, send me a PM. I'll get it sorted for you.

Agreed, and I think the differences here is the intention.

As far as my understanding goes, and correct me if I am wrong, XFS has no intention to keep the clients nor the plans GVH offered (at least the ones he deemed "unsustainable"), as such there is really no need for him to acquire the hardware/brand or sign some non-compete agreement, he knows that even if Jonny were to start another company they would have appealed to a different crowd than what he would like to attract anyways. However providers who would like to keep the clients and the plans they have purchased originally might find it is easier to buy the hardware and brand and everything to save them the trouble.

Guys, please calm down. Michael is a real person and I have him on Skype. No need to worry about this. Duke has asked him to stop relaying messages from Jonny, which is why he was banned initially. He has agreed to no longer do that so we're fine.

    Thanks Maarten.

    So to speak...

  • Sammy keeps going on and on because no one who is trying to make a workable profit would keep those plans ongoing.

I wonder how much of gvh problems were directly due to those plans?

  • XFS_Duke said: To put it plainly, Michael Spears is a friend and ex-coworker of mine at Arvixe. Me and him along with a few others started XFuse but the others soon had to go in other directions. Micheal Spears is not Jonny Nguyen, I promise you guys that. He is friends with Jonny, however, he's a customer as well. Jonny is now no longer able to do anything public and I guess that's one of the ways he was trying to get through it. I've made it known to Jonny that I'm very pissed off that everything I'm trying to accomplish with this acquisition is being unraveled because of someones stupidity and I'm not going to take it. I don't want him involved in anything but I was calculating costs and we have a lot of inventory that we needed to get rid of. Never did I think this moron would send the email like he did. Listen guys, I know you think this is a smoke screen, but any of you can add me to skype and talk to me directly. I'm not screwing people or scamming people. I'm trying to fix things and I have made a huge leap forward in the past few days and I believe that this will be a good thing. I know you don't "know me", but I've been here for a while and I'm not one person who will screw you or scam you. I don't work that way. Just give me some time and everything will be ok.

Jonny is arrogant and sticks his heels in when someone insults him, I just cant beleave he would walk away from this. Are you purchasing the clients with the donations you received? Cant beleave he would give a way a database of clients for free. Will you be paying people back when you start making money?

People need to STFU about the donations. The guy was in a bind, so people donated to help him out, that doesn't mean he shouldn't try to grow his business. Get off his back about him trying to grow his business/provide for his family.

@Incero, Thank you for saying that.

  • @Incero, thanks. Now if only everyone could think like that.

    You've got my respect.

  • You have virtually full control now Duke, and yet the little pecker keeps poking up stoking the fire. Not sure how you think, given his history, you can possibly get control and stop him from this crap. This IS Jonny, it's what he thrives on. No piece of paper you are making his parents sign (for the non-compete against a sale of clients from a company he doesn't even own) is ever going to stop that. Leaving him with control of GVH is equivelant to begging him to stick around and keep playing the games. I'll repeat, he already has copies of the customers data you are buying from him, as as we saw last night, he could give a rats ass what you think or tell him to do, and has no problem contacting them whenever he wants.

Yes, this is 100% true. Michael Spears used to work as an entry level tech for Arvixe, and was colleagues with Duke, Brian Oliver, etc.

I know the entire story about how XFuse was started (by multiple Arvixe staff members) and the reason behind the other "founders" leaving, but that is irrelevant and I won't go into detail on that.

Wishing Duke and XFuse Solutions the best of luck. Congratulations guys :)

One of the first sensible things that's been said in there. Thank you!

  • Reading this whole post. My gut feeling tells me to avoid this like the plague.

Nothing makes much sense.... Why is john (a minor) even involved with this business transaction at all? His name continuously comes up and he doesn't even own it. The "owner" has never put his face in front of the company. The buyer (Duke) is the only one so far that has vouched of meeting/talking to the actual owner of GVH....

My two cents...from reading this and the "frustration" that "Duke" has expressed in his last comments... sh*t is going to hit the fan. Why even bother making a "serious" business transaction if this "johnny" is still pulling stunts? If a serious business was involved with this.... Lawyers and accountants would be advising to stay away...... This looks like an immature transaction to make a quick buck and recreate GVH into a new brand...

If you want conspiracy.... What if this whole "movement" is been done in order to give rebirth to GVH under Xfuse?..... :)

Some previously mentioned that the dedicated servers is where the $ is at... I am sorry but a server Xeon E3-1240V3 @ $43/mth.... please give me a break... Even if I had received the hardware for free.... the cost of colo, and OPS. I would be looking at cents to negative in >revenue<...

Not sure who or what involvement this Mike Spears has.... but i got a gut feeling he is involved with this somehow and looking at his site.... whoever runs a true business and has qualified management and a proper HR department would see red flags everywhere with this individual.

Bottom line - IMHO this almost looks like a kiddie host to semi "kiddie host" transaction..... a true business would avoid this immediately just by looking at the history of GVH (leaked customer information, poor customer service, ridiculous prices to run a true business, internal staff issues, etc...) and i am sure any lawyer and accountant would advise to avoid.

No disrespect to anyone but this whole thing is fishy, unclear, and a minor appears to be involved.

Yes it absolutely is but then everyone is pushing Duke for answers, which he tries to give but in his current position things will change. Remember this was announced earlier than he wanted and there could still be a week or two before the change happens and he reveals everything.

Until then we contain the theories here. He still appears to be doing his best to please everyone.

@Ozzy, not really involved with this, outside of being friends with Duke and an acquaintance with Jonny along with having one of those E3 dedis that I host gameservers on. Also, what are the red-flags you're mentioning about my website other than a shitty design and little posts? I haven't been part of XFuse, since shortly after it was founded.

On a sidenote: Does anyone know if Richmond, VA has any connection to GVH or XFuse?

If that statement is involving my twitter post about moving to Richmond, no it doesn't. I'm moving there for personal reasons.

You should probably explain why to prevent further speculation. You must keep one step ahead of the questions in here.

Sure. I'm moving to Richmond because I prefer that area over Florida, and have lived in Virginia prior to this. Has nothing to do with any professional reasoning.

    I was joking btw :P
