    @royalhero said: Hi,

I'm trying to understand how many KVM nodes are in Buffalo.

I bought 2 for redundancy but they get provisioned on the same node.

Open a ticket and apparently I can't move to low availability.

Is it only 1 kvm in Buffalo?

    Thanks

    There's 2.

You can ask billing if you can just cancel 1 and have it remade on another node. If you're a current client I don't see this being a real issue.

  • Sigh, missed out due to Timezone issues etc. Have to keep an eye out.

  • Stock just became available. 25 128MBs in stock. Just grabbed one.

  • stock now hurry!

Hi, thanks for the reply here.
I did actually try to open a ticket about this (#649680) but from the reply I got it seems not possible.

    Regards,
    Stefano

Shouldn't have done it, but got another 256 KVM. Should be letting my 256 KVM in SJ go if anyone wants it and BuyVM OK the transfer.

Not sure, a few months old I think - why do you need to know?

    F**K!
Why did BuyVM restock at this time:(

  • @klikli said: Why did BuyVM restock at this time:(

@Francisco Existing client who cancelled SJ service before the stock launch and couldn't order anything because of the "active service" thing. Any chance of being allowed stock, or do I have to wait until the public release?

  • @AsadHaider you should probably ask @Aldryic about this, but with the hurricane situation in Louisiana i can imagine he is busy with other things.

  • @liam said: Restocking the drinking cabinet with vodka?

That too maybe :) I am not sure what people do during hurricanes since we don't have any here, but i can imagine it is not very nice to have one :)

Maybe I'm not, it's been 8 hours on the bandwidth test part ;)

  • Why does BuyVM excel at making customers wait all the time? Why the need for a rigid stock schedule? I can understand the load but they could easily release a few dozen per hour.

Depends on whether or not you believe that lack of availability generates additional demand. If you felt that you could just grab one any day that you pleased, you wouldn't rush to grab one "just in case" for later. That's an extra sell. How many of us are doing that? If I think I may need one in the coming months, I'll buy it now, and I couldn't tell you if I would have even bought it later.

We actually build our houses and buildings from concrete in BG, not from wood/other shitty materials like in the USA.

It's not like they are a big company with staff to stock up all the time though. Besides, I think this only happened because NY opened up. They used all their staff to prepare for it so there was a long drought. Hopefully it'd be good soon.

OMG, I missed the stock AGAIN :( sighs Just need 128MB and that seems nearly impossible to get... might have to automate this lol j/k

BTW, I agree with Francisco about the 3 bucks a month, definitely worth it when compared to the others - "its like taking candy from a baby"

  • @risharde
They sell at 4AM and 1PM PST:

@bamnael hehe Thanks for the info, wow under 10 minutes, man, I'm gonna have to make sure my internet is fast, my card has money in it and type really fast to grab one the next time! practices his clicking skills Thanks for the heads up! :)

  • I'm waiting for the 4AM public release, which is 9PM AEST I think.

A decent release time for me since everyone in the US will be asleep!

@serverbear Good idea, I will take that into consideration as well ;)

And @Francisco said he didn't think they would sell out that fast :)

  • Not as fast compared to SJ stock.

  • Network speed is nice even cross country.

@jcaleb said: Not as fast compared to SJ stock.

This stock has been limited to customers only :)

Who knows, we'll see how things go :)

We're expecting a slow sell so anything faster than that is frantastic in my books.

    Thanks,

    Francisco

  • @Francisco, is SJ stock updated as they are available or does it follow NY release schedule (if available)?
