  • I have set the price of all residential services to the following: $25/mo including Time Warner Cable and Comcast Cable.

    By professional contract.

  • I've now added Orange, S.A. from Moldova.

  • Mexico's Mega Cable, S.A. de C.V. has also been added.

Your "request" breaks the ToS/AUP of nearly every domestic ISP plus it puts any crazy user providing you with this in real danger if their home connection is abused.

Also this would not be a professional service at all, since upload speeds are not as fast as download in home connections, plus many users sharing the same link, plus it being hosted on a cheap laptop on someone's home.

What you offer, has been offered for many years to carders via SOCKS proxies.

  • If anybody is downloading/uploading/watching childporn (or anything like that) then you (the owner of the connection) would be held responsible.

Thats why nobody wants to host a Tor exit.

  • Wow. That sounds absolutely batshit.

  • I am still sceptical.

Well he is providing "IPs that look like a residential IP" which is what the OP asked for. I assume that's a primary reason people use an exotic VPN. For me, I could care less if it's false WHOIS info or physical servers, as long as it fools who needs to be fooled.

Nice article, is a shame that some VPN providers offer "VPN Locations" when they only thing they do is trick the geolocation databases, if you do so, then allow users to know you are using tricks to deliver locations and not using a physical datacenter in that location.

    You should.

  • Hey, my name is Josh and I am proud to say that the solution that you desire, is quite possible. In fact, ResVPN is launching very soon with a VPN service that is viewed as quite unorthodox-ed. By utilizing residential fiber networks exceeding speeds of 100Mbps as private tunnels to the internet, we can ensure censorship circumvention that is next to none.

    Singapore (Residential ISP: Tata Communications)

In Singapore, the residential ISP scene comprises of only a few companies, and Tata Communications isn't in the list, but they instead seem to be providing a IaaS, that's all...

Anyway, a list of Singapore ISPs (with available plans):

Singtel (200mbps to 1Gbps) - managed IPv6 tunnel is available, get the admin router password and you will be able to turn that on

    StarHub (100mbps / 1Gbps)

    M1 (has 1Gbps for cheap)

    Newcomers (should be IPv6 enabled)

    MyRepublic (1Gbps)

    ViewQwest (1Gbps / 2Gbps)

...as I'm typing this, the bus is going past Tata Communications' building...

Update: Singtel is indirectly owned by the Singapore Government, and, its expensive as heck, I'm paying $65.90 just for 200mbps (setup was free as I was a early adopter of Fibre), so yeah, take what you want from it.

  • I would love to rent out my home Internet in breach of the terms of my provider, but I really don't want to go to jail.

Jail for breach of contract? Where the heck do you live?

Of course not! Jail for having child porn and bomb attacks traced to your IP.

I've also got a fiber plan with Singtel and MyRepublic. Both are cheaper than what you're getting and has better throughput as well...

Viewqwest has IPv6 but the zhone router it rents out does not support IPv6. Therefore, they don't hand out IPv6 to residential customers.

Also, M1 is coming out with FiberX (GPONX) plans so they would probably be launching some 10gbps plans for residential customers. Not sure who would even get 10gbps to their homes...

Singtel mio Home plan, telephone + IPTV + Fibre, so yeah. I would love a change, but I'm happy with what I have (until I get throttled).

Anyway, their routers, when in close range, are really solid, but wait til your room is at the far end of the house...

    With extender, decent enough

    I'm so disappointed. ;-;

10Gbps, more like for home servers. People who like to brag about their home network would get that, though.

Anyway, you're from Ngee Ann Poly? Been there before for a competition, pretty nice place :D

So @William was actually right, and the guy should've definitely been banned.

I said that 2 years ago already when i had my first fight with "Jared", he did this back then and still does now - point in case, his entire /18 (or /19) is geo'd to Vatican currently. He still lists it as real locations on his website - Selling geo'd IPs is one thing (and legit), selling them as "local" VPN is nothing more than a scam. Selling them as "residential" is basically double scam.

If you want the pure irony - After this construct was failing already some weeks ago his staff was actually contacting some of my shells to establish further "fake" nodes inside other networks with custom SWIPed IPs (likely as his range is now abused enough):

I would show you my answer (which was pretty friendly actually) but that would reveal them what shell i use to spy on them and others, so rather not :)
