None of these contribute to a forum at all, like @MannDude said, it only looks good for stats. If you would take a look at certain users profiles, you can easily see their posts are just identical content for thousands of posts.

Ok, I am curious. I am neither a Trump nor an Obama/Biden supporter but why was @MannDude's post closed for further comments ? especially with it being in offtopic.

Over the years I have seen so much tolerance from the admins here! There had or has been a russia/ukraine thread with conflicting opinions that never went down, then there was this interview with the openly racist Cantwell by @SirFoxy on lowendbox, like who draws these arbitrary lines ? How is this post from @MannDude breaking any rules and if it is then why were the previous posts allowed ?

For now it seems like a targeted attack against ONE provider, while others are doing the same as we speak without any consequences.

To be honest, I would say, only some people took it the wrong way on the RN thread. Others sometimes tried to start some usefull discussions that were killed by the spam.

To be honest, the concerned moderator seems to be specifically targeting particular people and warning them at own will.

There was a lot of spamming in there (including myself), because the prizes available to win were very generous and determined by the order of who had the most posts. So, there'd be runs of 10 pages at a time with basically no content.

But then, every now and then when there were 3 or 4 of the keen people around, it actually turned into a real conversation. It's kind of a shame that's been taken away from them, as while I was trying to encourage them to explore other threads in the forum, that was their "safe place". I suspect at least a couple of them probably won't migrate to other threads, even though they were quite active in conversation as well as spam.

Yeah, while I would join in on the spam when dustin was active hoping for a giveaway or flash sale, I just couldn't bring myself to spam for merely the comment counts. There were some good discussions that did go on for a bit but eventually got derailed from the spam. I know I've skipped a lot of pages in thread simply because of it.

I have interest to remain. Offtopic seems kind of "dead" (thats just my opinion man) though when i have peeked in. Maybe i havent figured out the flow yet of this site, but it seems this forum mostly like a market place at the moment. Thats coming from a newer user

There were lots of random things that came up in "thread that shall not be named" so i did learn a lot while it was open, got book marks up the whaz from it and have already started using things i learned.

I intend to keep browsing around here. The hard part is switching from the persona that must be kept in that thread, vs the persona that must exist outside of it

I learned a lot from the BF thread which was my first adventure into the dark side.

EDIT++: I do think it woudlve been neat if all the giveaways took more of a fair share/made it easier for people to partake. I.e. post once today to get an entry or something without looping in ugly gleam. Its easy enough for everyone to do that and it gets visiblity via bumps. Sounds like that would also be frowned upon with new rules though right?

I have read like 30% of the pages myself. Mostly at the begining of the thread. But then...
