Hosthatch Japan Server Delayed for Half a Month, Still Not Delivered

ourswoursw Member

I purchased a Hosthatch Tokyo VPS during the promotion on December 2nd. The description mentioned a typical delivery time of 10 days, with a maximum of two weeks. However, it's been a month now and the order still hasn't been delivered. I’ve contacted customer service but haven’t received any response. I really regret making this purchase.

  • have some patience. Good things are coming in near future. You just need to wait a little bit longer (may be tomorrow, or day after tomorrow.... or next decade but you'll eventually get a great value for money vps which runs windows server).

  • I'm in the same boat as you, minus contacting support. I already have a VPS from Hosthatch from a previous Black Friday and I've no complaints about it, so I'm happy to wait since I have no time sensitive plans for the Tokyo one. I can completely understand how people on a timeframe would be livid at this point though.

Looking forward to seeing if this thread develops into peanut gallery part 2 🙃

Customer relations has never been HostHatch's strong point.

We are all waiting. My US storage server is still pending. I opened a ticket on 31st Dec to ask because before that HH has replied me they would deliver the VPS "by the end of this week", which should be last week. And today is Friday. They break their promise, twice. Now, they just didn't give feedback about it.

I keep saying that waiting is not a problem, the problem is UNCERTAINTY. If they can hold their promise, even the pending time will be that long as 1 month or 2 months, I am still willing to buy it and wait it, because I know I can get it, with CERTAINTY.

I threw about $200 on this server, and a month gone, I gave their money and they can use it to do anything, for free. As long as they don't give us the server, they can keep our money to do anything, without any penalty.

Now I just want my money back and stop this insane waiting.

    Understandable.

But this is honestly a new low. Don't think they have ever been late before without contacting customers to let them know of a delay. This time it is absolute radio silence. Hope everyone is ok at HH.

  • Be patient be happy

Even just saying 'we need to wait another month' is better than saying nothing at all.

Yes. That would have given the assurance especially when it is delayed by a month.

Yeah you'd think they could take 10 minutes each week to post a status update in their own offer thread but nope.

That thread is closed since people started abusing whoever criticizes HH.

When known providers take off, they get overwhelmed with more orders than expected.

What to do? Be patient, track your credit card challenge period.
If you want to bail, notify provider and ask for refund; worst case.. challenge. But also you will burn the bridge if you just happen to distrust them in a growth phase with no communication and challenge.

This is LET, where the deals just idle and your wallet feels lighter.

I read threads from past years.... 2021, 2020 and before.

It seems like a new trend where people are asked to wait in patience even after a month passes. Prior to 2022, LET seemed very different in this regard.

In prior years, I think this forum sucked. I only returned because better people.
If you see issue with Hostslick, be specific. I am not seeing the relationship here. Seems we are jumping random topics maybe?

    Thread is about HH.

You might want to check the offer thread of HH for references which had to be locked by admin.

That's a byproduct of HostHatch's lack of communication.

This is cable company level of bad.

i don't know, this is from my gravatar

  • I have normally priced HH servers and 2 BF deals.
The SYD based server bought on BF got provisioned, still waiting for the HK instance.
Even my normally priced HH server (HK instance) is down for 3 days - nobody responds to tickets.
The status page is a sham touting nearly 100% uptime.

That's very bad. At this point I'd be writing direct to the email address of the owners:

    Sorry to hear that.
FYI) the status page seems to be related to Network not host nodes.
    Mine is up and running.

  • I'm curious If I have both of Promotional and regular plan, how do they deal with the tickets? Slow or regular support? How to know whether the ticket is related to promotion or regular?

Hosthatch's definition of slightly delayed really surprised me.

The server is named such in the HH panel, for e.g., PROMOTIONS
    CM 2024 - AMD Compute 32 GB - T2
