    VM-x/AMD-V : ❌ Disabled

Does that mean we can't run dockers or KVM inside?

Docker can be run. Nested virt will not be working (KVM).

IOPS quite low for NVMe :'(

I think it's SSD? Anyway I think they have to throttle the IO given the resource:price ratio and local storage.

It's also the same for their pricey public cloud. Exact same speed, so I think they are throttling hard, especially noticable for higher block sizes.

And this is their price after so many "annual increase"? Or do they increase the price for old customers and offer lower price to new?

    Only for old customer.
If you buy service today for 100 Euros
After 1 year price will increase of that service.
    4.00% Each year.

Meaning if your price is 100 Euros
Next year it will be 104 Euros.

Does anyone have experience with the Leaseweb Volume Network quality? Apart from the problematic DTAG connection how is it around the globe, especially in the US?

  • @network said:

It's a promo price (circa 2015). Then they gradually increase the price.

I had a 4GB RAM, 80GB SSD, 8TB bandwidth, $20-24 per month (I paid yearly). My latest price is almost the same as Vultr. I remember because back then I wanted to switch, but canceled because I need >5TB bandwidth.

IMO, this maybe a cycle that new users will be treated, ending up paying more in some years later.

The VM worked well for my need, uptime was good, I had almost 2 years without downtime.

  • I wudnt touch lease web with a 10 ft pole. Unreliable fake "professionals". My vps with them was down for over a month :D and I thought I was buying premium product. Absolute shit quality.

Ho ho ho I'm glad u asked. For u the Santa brings some fun reading material exposing the lowend "highend" crap that leaseweb actually is:

Do u think these threads contain all the details? A Google search wud have helped. As a matter of fact during the failed migration the vps went offline
, migration which lasted weeks for many. There were a lot more details but this was years ago so I don't remember everything & on top of all u want to belittle me for the 5 euro vps 😂 wt is ur high and mighty self doing at lowendtalk then? Go spend ur days at WHT, don't come mingle here with us poor folk :D. No matter the value we all expect reliability for our service. FYI these were much pricier vps with steep discounts. Don't know why ur knickers r in a twist and ur ill informed comment completely chose to ignore the fact that leaseweb stole my credit. Anyways I'm going back to the megathread, don't bother wasting more of my time, I'm not interested.

  • Aren't we all avoiding leaseweb due to high bandwidth overage charges and lack of ability to shutdown when limit is reached?

    Thanked by 1emgh
  • The IOPS :(
    Better to other providers like @kuroit @NDTN @onidel @serverpoint @Terabix

  • putting the iops and bandwidth aside, i really need that much ram in 2nd package.
too bad only business could get them. I do have my paperwork but highly doubt if leaseweb would acknowledge it

Yes we are waiting for their confirmation.
Due to weekend they will reply on monday, i think they need to confirm this from management.

In one reply account manager from Singapore said yes your order is with 30TB BW.
But then i asked them to double check because lsw never offered 30TB with singapore so told them to ask this from management, because you guys do error like this alot after your website got updated.

After that we are also waiting for their update.

I wish it was easy to avoid providers that don't feel like adding a "max charged per month" feature, but it's hard.
