Let me be the winner of anything from Dartnode's giveaway.
No need to apologize! 😊 I understand what's going on, and I know you’re a small team just getting started in this business. Since you’re fairly new to the hosting world (considering the age of DN), it might be helpful to discuss this with your more experienced peers over at LET to find a solution. You implemented an IOPS limiter to prevent users from hammering the disks, which worked fairly well for a couple of days, but the problem seems to have resurfaced. Perhaps this isn’t the ultimate solution? Or could there be some new issues at play?
P.S. I wish the best for DN, and I'm not going anywhere! 😄
only one yearly vps left
thanks for giveaway
I've noticed that the network has quite a bit of packet loss on a daily basis unfortunately.
This is coming from UptimeRobot probes & Prometheus exporter scraping, so it's being measured from several different locations. Some days there's little to none, but others there's 10-20 blips of 1-5 minutes of packet loss enough to trigger downtime alerts.
I love the service and price, but the packet loss is quite high on a regular basis.
I got the delivery email of $399 dedi server. But the SSH info was not working, IPMI access not working, due date was not adjusted. Please fix it.
thanks for giveaway!
The worst hosting site ever, the servers are very slow, the technical support does not respond or solve any problems, and also a problem occurred and the servers stopped for three days and there was no response or apology or compensation from the site for the damage, and also the servers stopped for two days before and there was no response from support, honestly a very bad experience and this is my last month with them, and I do not recommend them to anyone, they do not respect customers and are also unprofessional, and also when I bought a new server I did not get the server data until two days later..
Update: 14:01 GMT-5: We have completed the migration of data to our transfer disks, and are now starting to re-deploy VMs onto the improved disk system. Once your VM is deployed back it will be auto powered on, no more power cycles are planned after this.
The system is still feeling quite slow. It is probably still caused by the disk system... File access (read/write) is very laggy. Throughput is at around 100KB/sec.
Update: 23:25 GMT-5: We are still working on restoring customers, and the system is working through powering on customers on the new disks. We will be providing compensation to customers for the down time and for your patience.
Update: 01:53 GMT-5: We're still working through customers on N-4 -> N-8, please note you may power on and use your VM at this time, when the system migrates your disk to the new LVM it will be powered cycled.
Update: 15:46 GMT-5: We're working on the last 2 host nodes, we encountered an error in the process of migrating some data and are re-coping those that failed or showed errors. After this migration, we will be auto-crediting account credit by our SLA.
It's still not finished yet, my machine is still sleeping.
Are your cpu/ram both at 0%?
I experienced a kernel panic after the (auto-)power-on of the system yesterday and every reboot after that. The support team had to restore a backup to get it back online.
Mine is dead, it's always zero
Refund Confirmation email just arrived.
bought a 10$ VPS and get 6$ credit.
I got $1.2, you got lucky I guess.
Same, I received $1.20 in credit which I believe is more than fair.
yup not complaining at all, service is working fine now
I received $1.20. It seems that the disk is fine, but the network is not ideal.
