Hello LET!
My name is Alessandro, but please just call me Alex.
I became Operations manager at HostAris today, and i would like your feedback on what we can better in our service

On our roadmap right now are the following steps i am coordinating as we speak:
1. Moving all of our support away from discord to WHMCS, thus installing the panel
2. Hiring more support staff, thus reducing answer time on each ticket submitted
3. Start promoting and selling dedicated servers rather than VMs
4. Buy our own hardware and collocate it in the EU and USA

I need your help, please point out anything that can be wrong with our service, give suggestions on what we can improve in the service.

1&2 seem like a great place to start. That said, my only ticket experience about six weeks ago was answered quickly but I understand this hasn’t be the case for everyone. Good luck in the new role!

We are aware of the outages, unfortunately we had some issues with scaleblade but this will not happen again

That used to be the case, but the owner got burnt out and decided to sell the server.

We will still be selling VMs ofc, just that we will be expanding our products range

That's fine, but the question was who purchased it as I read it was purchased by a host in the bare-metal industry - just wondering who as I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere yet (unless I'm mistaken!)

The end of Argon

We are sad to tell everyone that Me and the team have decided to close down argon.
This is because yesterday, while we were moving servers, an issue happened and we lost the backups and in the process the files.
Unfortunately, because of the lack of funding and most importantly the lack of customers, we have decided to shut down the services. We will reopen in the future, but for the time being this project, unfortunately, has died.
Thank you everyone for using our servce.
If you are a customer, we will provide you the files and assist with the move, but effective immediately we are closed.
It has been a wild 3 years, and we will be back eventually, but for now, this is goodbye

He has a valid point. Nothing good seems to come from Discord... like ever. Once Discord is somehow in the mix drama is practically guaranteed and it's not good entertaining drama but just dumb, childish and very boring drama.

I closed my hosting company, big deal
And I'm not a business boss, I'm an operations manager to a rather small host. I don't see where the suspicion to me is.
Furthermore, if you read the other updates, we managed to recover the backups and we gave all the files back to the customers of Argon, I decided to close it due to lack of customers in the game hosting scene

It's not so much of the actual use but rather the crowd that's involved in making these kind of choices. Maybe you can clear this at some point but the Discord connection - even in historic form - will be a bit of a stigma.

I used to work at hypere
I quit the day after I created my acc but I have no idea how to change it

I'm satisfied with my FR ryzen vps with you guys, which has two IPs and unlimited traffic. Let's see how your new job at hostaris goes. I'll probably renew the service next month if things get better

Also to address everyone in this thread
I am not associated with Hypere anymore, haven't been since early March, and the only reason why I listed myself working there was because I was supposed to start a DC tech job but never did
So, again, this has nothing to do with hypere

I wasn't expecting much from some of you but some comments here and on lowendspirit reminded me how hateful some of you are, from calling me a fraud to just saying I work with woollard... Yuck

It's a shit salary but it's my passion. I am a uni student in Milan, I work a decent job here and can afford my apartment and then save for a rainy day.
I landed an interview with a company, hopefully I can switch my line of work entirely and earn an American salary living in Italy
