Yeah, what happened to due diligence... People sending not exactly small sums to some guy on fucking Discord without doing a least a bit of background checking just seems batshit crazy to me. Even with background checks... Jesus christ, it's DISCORD...
The owner of scaleblade
Ah, another Jack then
Weird kink of Jack's, but alright.
You bought garbage, you received garbage. Hostaris is now, publicly and indexed by search engines, going to be associated with garbage. You have a significant uphill battle to climb, that frankly won't yield much more than significant debt.
If you ask me, you guys seem to travel in a pack, it's quite concerning.
Ehh, yeah idk
told Hawk from F4/Rozint to contact me in the future.
@Jack_SBE
Same jack https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/191397/hypere-kuxo-kubbur-and-a-whole-family-of-drama/p1
But jack is mostly alright atm. I think he learned his lesson and mostly stays away from children.
Lmaoooooooooo
@kait was he working at Kuxo or Hypere? I remember a picture of him, like from some about us page or something. Some vague memory..
I don't see it that way. I know that by running it well and rebuilding trust with customers, I'll be able to get it back on track. Stay tuned for tonight, I'll explain the challenges we are facing and the solutions we propose
Does this Hostaris thing even have some kind of userbase making this whole thing worthwhile? Until now i haven't really noticed it being some kind of sprawling enterprise. A couple guys complaining about shitty service that's most i've seen.
Jack, iirc, had brief involvement with Kuxo and some other corp. That said, Jack isn't a bad guy, it just seems that his (presumably old) category of friends keeps coming up to haunt his name.
https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3836339/#Comment_3836339 he explains it here.
So there's even more of those strange guys involved? Jeez... I kind of wonder if the partnership deal with @GoodLeaf-Cloud is finalized yet.
Aight, the only thing I found funny with that whole thing was the 'Senior' title if I remember correctly
This is why you've got an uphill battle. You're proposing changes and asking for other people to tell you what to do. If you had a sense of direction for "your business" you'd simply implement the necessary changes and advise clients of them. You'd not sit around like it's a childs game... then again.
His old friends keep haunting him
Blake being the dude behind Twistic/BGP Technologies/MyLir and afaik ran NVMeNetworks with the old Hostaris guys. Poor Jack doesn't get left alone.
I know what I'm doing. I made this thread because I wanted to see the current status. But we fixed half of it already
Says he with full confidence when he ran ArgonHosting into the ground with a 14 year old Egyptian as the CTO.
I didn't run it into the ground, it was never profitable to begin with. And a drive failing was the last straw. I gave back everyone their files and was done with it
What's different this time?
Skill issue: Can't operate a hosting company.
Skill issue: Can't do redundancy or proper backups.
Like how? Did you order a Discord hitman to take care of that Ellis guy or what?
Also @ArgonMan why did you tell me on here that you got paid a shit salary if you were the director?
There's an active user base and I have already closed a couple deals that are going to up the revenue. I'll talk more about this tonight
Yikes, dragged into this shitshow.
From my side - I was notified by Hostaris’ old owner that there was a change to ownership and this may affect some contracts we had in place (I was basically told they would probably drop out mid term).
I believe a similar situation happened with their other upstream too but not sure about the details there.
After investigation I found out Paravirt was the buyer at which point all Hostaris services were suspended due to an unsettled debt of £X,XXX+ from ~ 18 months ago.
Once communication was established with Alex this was cleared up and services resumed.
I can’t comment on who Hostaris is actually run/owned by currently. I do know that Paravirt/Hypere is using the PayPal and Stripe accounts of Hostaris. This is because of his trail of fraud that gets these accounts bricked every 3-6 months. This is nothing new.
I’m a simple man. Don’t want your shit turned off? Pay your bills.
I still have an irl job and I'm not taking money out of it untill I'm making substantial profit. All I make will be reinvested, so I just take enough for my apartment
That wasn't what you said.
That's exactly what I said. I have an irl shit paying job and I will take enough from hostaris to get the difference. I'll address the rest in another post coming later tonight
I already registered new accounts. So their old acc should be turned off soon
