no this is a CEPH Cluster, the VMs are stored in an Erasure Coded Pool with 4k and 2m.
The OSDs are pm9a3 and some older ones still pm983.
We also exchanged our 40GbE switching stack by a 100GbE one last week, which provides better latency.
We know each other as they are only 2 racks apart from us but we are not in a business relationship

The plans are designed to match our hypervisor builds. In our experience, VMs with more resources tend to have a higher utilisation, resulting in an overall less dense deployment of VMs and thus a lower MRR per hypervisor.
