All of my services (NYJ and LAX locations) back online from DediPath, EthernetServers, and VirMach too.
Anyone get a RFO / RCA ?
Kind of worrying they got seemingly cut off across multiple locations at once... Was about to get a dedi there.
I am still down in NJ/NY with Dedipath for the last 3 hours and 33 minutes now. I was getting optimistic when everyone else said their stuff was coming back so I am not sure why I am still down. My support ticket hasn't been answered yet and there is still no update on their website.
My vps in Las Vegas haven't been effected 🤔
Still not any official information from dedipath what was (is?) cause?
I got this reply to my ticket almost 2 Hours ago
"We are looking to a switch issue at the moment and your servers should be back online soon."
My router onsite is still offline. Total downtime 19 hours now
I've reached the point where I've basically concluded this is some time of financial battle between Dedipath and Evocative. I think the only reason the Evocative locations came back online last night was due to an email by myself to the Evocative team which mentioned the Spry servers fallout and I have a feeling they turned the power back on but no one at Dedipath is still on payroll to fix the downed networking. There's been zero response by anyone from Dedipath for almost 20 hours down. NJ is still down. This is absolutely wild.
It is crazy. Wake up call for many.
Backups!
Where is @Ernie ?
Looks like everyone has been dedipathed!
Where is all the people which personally vouched for DediPath and Ernie everytime they were mentioned here?
An update with more details than "we got a switch issue" would be appropriate at this point.
Looks like everyone has been taken to the downpath.
I love Ernie. He's the best, and I get this is probably out of his hands. I'm just becoming less enthused with the lack of response otherwise. Their phone number on their website doesn't work either
No one likes scrolling through these for updates.
Looks like he left Dedipath, this is what I see in his LinkedIn profile:

This makes me pretty sad.
So when the fire happened, Ernie responded to me via his Dedipath email. So I'm wondering if this departure is correct at this point. As I highlighted earlier. There's a lot of missing information here and its information that if the business was piloted properly none of this would be an unknown currently.
Honestly? Sounds more like a billing related outage than a technical one.

Anyone know why the word "Dedipath" in censored on WHT?
Total Downtime 21 Hours, 5 Minutes and counting.
Not trying to talk down on Dedipath but there's been no update besides their reply to my ticket 4 hours ago saying they're looking into a switch issue. I have an ISP and it wouldn't take us a day to replace or troubleshoot a switch, ya know?
Probably had an over-eager sales rep trying to promote the business there. WHT is incredibly strict with their infractions.
I'd assume someone was promoting DediPath outside of the offers forums or responding to threads with contact info, links or promotions directly if I had to wager a guess. To be fair, most forums allow providers to interact directly with users and comment in a way that may promote their business. WHT doesn't like that.
I noticed a post earlier asking about the downtime and Dedipath was censored, then the entire thread was deleted/removed from public view by mods. Ernie would post offers there consistently every week but those stopped on the 6th of this month. His account isn't banned and all the previous offer threads are still visible though. Dunno if Ernie's departure from the company has anything to do with the downtime or if it's just a coincidence.
That was my thread they removed. Naturally this annoys me.
I've noticed that the amount of locations available on their VPS order form has dropped - hope that isn't indicative of anything more serious too.
I was hoping to grab a box in Denver this week.
@Ernie seems to be online as we speak. Any further information of what's up?
June 2023 doesn't seem accurate if Ernie did leave, I talked to them just 1-2 weeks ago. Interesting.
https://floofyhosting.com also down in NYC - they're suspended for non payment (confirmed from a reliable source)
