2TB Storage Plan, I think NY, I don't remember. This is pretty good. So they sent a check up email and asked how the service was. I was so far very impressed. I got the server within 3-4 days, so way less than 2 weeks, which was awesome. In the beginning the 4K/64K performance was very slow, but since people stopped running mass YABS, the performance has increased greatly.

I'm very happy with this purchase. If and when my storage needs go up, I'll be looking for the 10TB deal next year. Cheers. Two thumbs up. Two shoes off. Two socks off. Two toes up! That's 4 of my body things up instead of just two. We're not gonna go for 5!

Great service, cheap price, nice people, happy customer here so far. Okay thank you.

  • Ah..that 10TB storage offer would be exactly what I would be looking for. Unfortunately I didn’t discover LET till it was after BF.

Going to wait for BF2023 deals or something before then if I get lucky.

Pants off, please. And make it 5.

  • Is the IPV6 connection of Hong Kong VPS restored? They still don't work on my machine.

  • @hosthatch can you check your DM? I've lost 2FA. Have emailed already as well. I can't pay my invoices atm as I can't get into the client area.

  • Just received 1 TB storage New York VPS. And it looks very good.

Everything on my NY Storage VPS seems good except IPv6. The IPv6 gateway isn't reachable (no response to neighbor solicitations, aka ARP failing). Configured it per the docs and my other HostHatch Storage node in CHI works fine.

Did you test IPv6 at all? Noticed it's not in your yabs output.

Update from HostHatch via support this morning:

Apologies for this. IPv6 is currently not available, but it will be in the coming week.

I'm stil unable to reach their support :disappointed:. Locked out of the account due to a 2FA backup not working correctly and servers are getting suspended as you can't access an invoice without logging in.

Do you still have the 2FA backup? I had a similar problem with 2FA recently, and I had to set my OS' clock properly in order to get it to work normally because it's time-based. If the 2FA code hasn't changed, it should work.

No, it was really an issue with the app Authenticator Plus. Was configured to back up to Dropbox but it didn't work anymore. I could only backup from a year ago which didn't have a few things, though I don't know which either (have only found out about the hosthach one till now)

I've been able to contact them on LET now so hopefully it should be sorted soon

  • I've long since forgotten, is the storage on the storage servers done using RAID?

IIRC an older Storage server I had with HH did, but I've had to let it go.

NVMes are RAID-10. Storage nodes are RAID50/60.

    Dear Customer,

You are receiving this email because you currently have a pending Black Friday 2022 order with us, in either Singapore and/or New York.

We have to inform you that, unfortunately, these orders will be further delayed, till 17th January. Please note that your billing starts on the date your server is delivered, so you do not lose any paid time.

Due to unforeseen delays with logistics in the past holiday season, we have been unable to set up everything to the point where we would feel comfortable setting up customers on the new equipment. We are confident that we will be able to meet the new ETA, and most likely provision much earlier.

Should you no longer want to wait, you can request a full refund for your pending order.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.

    Kindest Regards,
    Your HostHatch team

To be fair, reference was for a day and month. No mention of the year. So who knows. We have 365 more days to wait

    No.

Right after I paid for the service, I chose to forget about it, just because I want to be surprised by the "[HostHatch] New VM is Online" email some day

Personally, over the years, I have adjusted my expectations for heavily-discounted/promotional items - not just with HostHatch, but in general.
