Well, this is starting to get .. curious.

Defense ministry is reminding people of their handbook on how to survive long term power outages, recommending food+ water for 3days etc.

There was just warning that it was just shy of 500MW that electricity price would have ballooned to 4€/KWh. 4€/KWh.
And we are still far from expected peak usage during winter's coldest moments.

On other news, some places are now asking for 11€ for pizza delivery ... yeah, 11€ for delivery alone.

    InterXion Frankfurt:

Price adjustment for contracts with metered energy consumption ("metered"):

Energy prices are expected to increase by 0.44€ to 0.80€ per kWh. To calculate how this increase will affect your business, we recommend adding the increase to your existing kWh tariff and then multiplying it by your expected consumption.

Today Interxion increased by 0.02 € per kWh, so really relaxed.

20+ years ago I visited Baffin Island. A $5 watermelon at home was $50. A $1 bag of chips was $4+.

    Snow/cold sucks.
