Thank you. My 8-core VPS load average dropped from 18 to 5.

    @LittleCreek,
will you transfer part of the accounts from the old server to the new one? Can you move my VPS too?

    I am transferring accounts now.

My server is noticeably quicker to perform tasks. Thank you very much.

  • I'm happy to report that seems to be normal now.
And @LittleCreek provide quite nice and friendly support, during this period of time.
Even the impact is quite significant.

  • Thanks Floyd! Everything seems to be back to normal.

  • Looks good. Thank you @LittleCreek

  • Just to share a feedback: I've been a client for almost a year, had to refund one VPS and can't complain at all. A few idlers-ish (small machines which run Caprover and e-mail (using a custom relay)), all running good and stable:

    root@server:~# w
    19:52:18 up 297 days, 22:25, 1 user, load average: 1.01, 1.00, 1.00

    root@mail:~# w
    19:54:10 up 289 days, 22:02, 1 user, load average: 1.51, 1.29, 1.16

Can't say a lot about the performance as those don't do much, but stability wise: 10/10.

You can choose CentOS 8 or custom ISO in the virtualizor panel.

I will try to work on that today. Its a lot of work to include all the possible operating systems in the initial signup. But as was stated it can be done after signup in the Virtualizor panel.

Easy solution is to add only one item saying "Choose after deployment" or something similar.

    That's a good idea.

    Delayed to June IIRC

I will make it more clear next time.

The best price I have found so far for a 1 gbps is $2/mbps. So if you need sustained 10 mbps the costs associated with just the bandwidth is $20/month. If somebody knows of a better price please let me know.

    Ask HE for $0.09/Mbps bandwidth.

Pleased with this provider, but it seems like client area is very slow all the time. Everything loads slowly when navigating. I don't have a need to visit it often, so its not a big deal.

What country are you in? That is probably the problem

People, note that this thread dates from January 4th, so the promotional VPSes are very probably no longer available. (This is my best guess)

They are still available but I am very careful about accepting orders that do not pass the fraud check. And I am not promoting anything until I get the extra bandwidth I need which should be the first week of June now.

Also I did check with HE but their price for IPv4 was too high. So I found another. They were not currently in the data center I am in but they already had plans in the works. It was supposed to be at the end of March but they had some permitting problem. The permits should be worked out now and they say May 30. Then I have to set up equipment for it and then we should be good to go.

I don't know why that would be the case. I use it every day and no page takes more than a second or 2 and I am 165 miles away.

Yeah, it could just be me.
Thanks for replying and the great deal on these vps's.

  • great VPS, I use it and it's still stable until now. wish this node had a CPU boost of more than 3.5 MHz for better performance. success for you @LittleCreek

I have the same problem in the client area, but not all the time. Usually after 5-10 minutes, it will back to normal.

  • Not bad, but not the performance I expected to be honest...
Maybe the servers are overloaded now @LittleCreek ?
