Grabbed one, thanks! Considering also the no-setup fees makes it a very good deal. Hope to enter the 16TB club

It did say "manually verifying payment", but now it says "Your order form has been paid. Your order is in progress.".

I got one in late November, think I was just in the right place at the right time really... never seen it in stock since. In the Roubaix DC.

Just got mine a few minutes ago. Looks like 2T drives. 250M UP/10G DN. D1541 with IPMI.
Not bad, I suppose. Got what I paid for, sans setup fees. Gonna keep it.

  • @Nekki said:
Free setup? Fuck. Makes you want to take a punt, doesn’t it.

Sure does, that setup fee is fucked. No setup fee and it's worth a shot, but fuck me, the SYS-1 and SYS-2 in BHS are out of stock, so I'm gonna sit in the corner and eat some worms.

  • So I found this link which explains how to setup raid0 on the server.

    https://plaza.quickbox.io/t/setting-up-so-you-start-servers-for-install/443

If I do exactly whats done in the link above do my disks end up in raid0 configuration even though in the video the total size remains the same?

I'm just trying to use my 4x4TB disks in a raid0 setup. Any advice is appreciated!

  • Tried to order because of the No Setup Fee and got upgraded CPU, it's also great that I could use my SPLA license. I'm still waiting for my IE account to get verified because I'd like to place the order there instead. I'm requesting a refund now.

Just use the IPMI and install it in raid 0 - Job done.

Good stuff - glad it worked out for you

I prefer using the IPMI as I learn more that way - but each to their own.

I've ended up buying a few more, 16TB Club exists in SBG3 now apparently. 19K, 21K, 3K, 3K power on hours but only gigabit port. D1541 and IPMI as usual.
