I'd love to but only a mod can now (well past the 4 hour editing window now)
Has anyone got a list of ones that need adding? If a new one gets mentioned feel free to tag me to update it. Not reading every post in here.
Just SolvedByData at this point by the looks of it, and thanks for helping keep it updated :-)
EDIT: forgot my manners

Honestly I don't know how this can go on without the authorities noticing it, it looks like its done with intent, there is most likely a link between these 21 hosts that dropped out in a weekend, sending out to the customers the same e-mail template, doing it exactly after Black Friday to maximize the profits, there is a thin line between shady business practices and designing a scheme to take people's money and trying to maximize your profits, which is called a scam or fraud, which is legally an intentional deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain.
Instead of telling people they were stupid and to do better research next time, they should be encouraged to report this to the US authorities and let them investigate to see if it was a coincidence, an act of God, or a scam.
While I understand some may be worried that they will lose a place they advertise and make money from (providers), or have fun (users), this is the right thing to do, in my opinion at least. Closing your eyes and moving on makes you an accessory.
@dahartigan Public service potassium levels announcement.
Yes I paid $40 for the year through a special. And I can see what you're saying. I was just trying to say that up until now I was fairly pleased with the service. They helped whenever a ticket was submitted. Just trying to say I wouldn't mind having another host like this for six months.

Prem now that is what I like to call a good shafting by the media 😂
Just waiting on an article by Stefan from The Verge
Haha zdnet got hold of it too, lol
Now this is going big. Lets hope it can be on TV.
I wonder if someone will make them a rap too? 🤔
I am willing to pay for it . Can I know who made that Psychz rap.
Found it:
I've been searching for who it is, can't find anything. Even on fiverr....

Hosting73On this list, there are a few CC-based companies that have not deadpooled yet. For convenience, I have listed them below (except their main brands + virmach, all of which I do not expect to deadpool)
I split this list into two categories, which I did by gut feel. One category is titled "Companies I do not know enough about", and the other one is "Companies that might deadpool soon-ish".
Unknown companies:
Companies I expect will deadpool:
SolvedByData- Just deadpooled. List updated.TCNHosting- Just deadpooled. List updated.Edit2: HostFlyte moved to "unknown" due to information received from credible sources.
I'mma grab some popcorn and watch Upbeat and Kay go boom.
Nice work @teamacc
HostNamaste merged with YourLastHost a little while back. I had an issue where they fucked up during the merger. Long story short, I got refound plus a free vps. Not exactly a scam, but not entirely legit either..
I've made my feelings with regard to hostnamaste clear. I dislike them quite a bit, but they're not on the list to deadpool at this point.
Still, they might deadpool due to unrelated reasons. Won't be shedding tears over it then.
My sources tell me it's by marshal webb
If I remember correctly @MasonR know who made it too?
2 days prior closing, ... considering that this is the week-end, ... this is very fishy. Also, the sites of these hosts are still accepting orders ... hum...
Of course, someone has to pay for their Christmas Party.
Here's a colorized overview of all the stuff on LEB in the past 4 months, sorted chronologically.
The red ones have deadpooled.
The yellow ones are on the deadpool shortlist.
The green ones are CC-based but not on the shortlist.
The grey ones are non-CC.
Judging by the overall flow of this chart, they (whoever posts on LEB) knew something was going awefully wrong by the time they posted HostNamaste. This was exactly on black friday.
Make from that what you want.
Nice work, for my colour challenged eyesight somewhat hard to follow but the text helped! I hope Stockservers stay afloat- I am discontinuing their service in a couple of weeks since their focus for VPS / Dedi is now US, but overall service was okay.
it looks like that, the more a business' name is just made of "keywords", the less its reliable.
Keywords vs Brand Name
I hope this escalates to proper authorities and CC will get a part of this.
We used to have colo crossing products but haven't sold them in ages now. Our pricing is not really in line with LEB so I generally just keep my mouth shut.
Are you questioning whether you should keep giving them money for the grandfathered products, given their reputation?
Don't your clients deserve better than this?
(sorry if you interpret this as a personal attack. If so, please read this post at around 10% intensity which was the intended intensity)
I do remember the guy (I think his name is Russ) in UK used to provide very cheap (selling almost at loss) VPS services in order to get 10-100k customers base and sell it off to other companies but never closed down.
Looking at above companies it seems to me they had no business strategy.
