I just found a nice offer. As far as I can tell just availble for a few minutes:

    https://store.itefg.de/shop/index.php/announcements/6/April-April.html

    • 2VCores
    • 2GB RAM
    • 20GB SSD Storage
    • 300Mbit/s Uplink
    • Unlimited Traffic (really Unlimited)

only 0,99€ monthly or 1,99€ every 3 month.

I do not know anything about that company. Came across that offer in another forum.

    Another Edit: You get 1 IPv4 and 1 IPv6.

Last Edit: Here are some more offers of this company ending at 2nd April: https://store.itefg.de/shop/index.php/announcements/5/Oster-Angebote---VServer-mit-2GB-Ram-ab-099-mtl.html

    looks dangerous.

Report that to @Virmach. Something doesnt sound good there. Specially closing the ticket and ignoring the issue.

Did log in to check just now, the ticket status was changed to Awaiting Sales Department, so may be that person simply forwarded the ticket to sales and sales isn't open till Monday.

Here is the screenshot if @Virmach would like to investigate further, again, I am not here to complain and if anything I am happy that I saved myself from getting another idle VPS :)

There were quite a few good offers which I think you definitely missed. The real offers only come on Black Friday though, so what did you expect?

Maybe a n00b question: why are most of the deals right now from Germany (or generally Europe)? Because my impression was bandwidth and parts are relatively more expensive in Europe compared to North America...

@FALZO what you think of https://store.itefg.de/ look previous page at the bottom.

    summer is coming? ;-)

honestly can't tell much, seem quite new to the game. from the looks of it simply reselling OVH and others. as above mentioned maybe not OVZ but LXC, so I'd expect quite some overselling.

if not on OVH, IPs going to make anything very cheap very unsustainable. once they get featured in a chinese aff blog, we might know what eventually happens...

I didn't have a closer look yet, three (probably young) unknown people. at least they registered a business, a UG in germany is a small limited with not much money needed, restricting liabilities.

didn't check the validity of their licenses like WHMCS and TS3 etc. - simply not interested to buy from them.
though, every now and then some starters might be lucky enough to evolve, so good luck to them!

One would think that they would clearly state the virtualization technology used (not so great that they don't).

The egg still appears for the "VPS OsterEi 1.89 EUR/mo" deal. I suppose it's still available for anyone who's (still) interested. To me it's worth getting one just because getting an extra IP at Netcup is almost as expensive and here you get at least a decent proxy/forwarder if nothing else.

  • Since I only paid a small amount of money, I do not plan to request a refund.

I couldn't find this egg yesterday (and I tried a number of times throughout the day), so I think that they've added new eggs today. I'll look again ...

PM me if you can't get it - I'll let you know you where I found it (I suspect it's different for every browser/user/whatever). Don't want to publicly post in case it helps keep it under wraps.

The egg is still there but it's not possible to order, just says that it's out of stock. I wouldn't spend time looking for it, I'll check a few times today and write back here if it get's back in stock.

Well, I went wild and ordered the Root-Server Eierkanone. :-) In fact, this makes more sense for me than to get another small VPS (I can now do some consolidation), and I never managed to find an egg for the VPS OsterEI anyway!

I bought for testing, the performance is already getting pretty bad. CPU at 100% even when I do not perform tasks. Unfortunately it is not proving to be reliable.

Will do but may take a few days. I hope that the servers won't be too overloaded (= all of the Root-Server Eierkanone people together), but we'll see! The contract is for 3 months, so not a huge risk. (I already have a vServer at netcup and have never experienced significant problems.)

How do Netcup make any profit with dedicated cores and this pricing?

E5, tons of cores, up to something 40-48 per node.

Also some provider still do sell a more then they have on the node as dedicated cores, not that much as you would to on usual vps but still a bit.
