    It will be mounted as a secondary hard disk on your BuyVM slice. You will use it the same as any other hard drive. Format it with your favorite filesystem and mount it.

    S3 is Object Storage. The proposed Slabs are Block Storage.

    I got it beta testing at the moment with current storage customers to make sure there isn't any unusual problems with it.

    I'm expecting to have OFED installed on everything in the next day or so, so I can start giving out trial space :)

    I know the whole soon(tm) is a terrible meme but this is pretty embarassing on our end.

    We just ran into a lot of delivery delays on equipment and time scheduling to get things done. Since our goal was to get this all online w/o having to order additional cage space, it took a lot of reshuffling to get users converted from old nodes to the new ones, provisioning new power (since we moved from 120V to 240V in the same movement), etc.

    Things perform well and people really enjoy it. I look forward to getting it available for those still interested in it :)

    250gb, 500gb, 1tb, then it'll scale by 1tb after that.

    $1.25 for the 250, $2.50 for the 500gb.

    Need a slice to use.

    New.

    The volume won't be portable though, it's still a storage vps.
