Goddammit I don't want to boot the D610. It takes like an hour. E: https://npackd.appspot.com/p/xp-ie6-virtualbox/2014.10.27 (Yoink!)

Doesn't matter, though. My iDRAC only wants to do Java. :(

  • XP doesn't work, it's locked in Java mode.

C'mon, Scottyeti - setup a DHCP service that dumps into the 700k ipxe image. If we can't figure out how to install from there.. :D

Jesus fuck. Do not do an IPXE network load. Been waiting for OpenBSD RAMDisk for 3 hours now..

Okay, so I finally got it working via syslinux. You'll have to install syslinux via yum and copy /usr/share/syslinux/memdisk to /boot. I also put the Ubuntu netinst iso in /boot and added the following to /boot/grub/menu.lst:

    title Netboot
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /memdisk iso
        initrd /mini.iso

I wonder if they do colo's. Might put in a ticket to get a quote and move my Plex box there.

    That could be interesting.

  • @WSS after a month?

Long long time ago... I don't think there is a valid reason to this take so much time. But Paypal case is still in time, I think they are just waiting the last minute because yes.

Might be worth a bump. May have gotten lost in the slew of LET tickets recently.

Maybe. I'm not impressed by them at all. They took a risk with this thread for sure and I get their intentions. However.. they didn't keep their word in my case three times in a row which in inexcusable for any host at any given pricepoint.

Which part of this thread didn't you read? The second post? Did they not give you the hardware you paid for? Did you not (eventually) get the RAM for those hosts that weren't (initally) working right?

I read about all of it. And no, they didn't get me any hardware. It's not about not delivering. It's about promising something and not acting upon it.

Well, call it out, then. I ordered A, and I was given B. I was given the option of not paying for B, and getting my money back. I didn't do so. I'm mostly happy with A.

Nah, don't care enough plus there's nothing to gain from it for either side. I think they showed balls coming in here selling this stuff. Respect that and love their approach but like I said, not delivering and not keeping promises gets you booted from my buylist.

Well, if you're going to call them out- have the balls to call them out. Otherwise, I'm just going to say you're full of shit.

Also, they registered here AFTER I shit all over them- as well as a few other customers. Get your shit straight.

I'm not calling them out, I'm merely sharing my experience. If I have issues with any host I contact them directly. People can read the thread and know what went down.

I'm aware about when they registered and what was posted about them before. I Have been hearing good things about them and their service is supposed to be great but for me it just didn't work out.

I'm not complaining at all. We sorted it out. Never felt the need to complain. I just stated that they didn't keep a promise multiple times. Not making a big deal about it as things are resolved. Sorry if this came across as "bithing about it". In my book it's called sharing a user experience and I'm not prepared to go into full detail every time I respond to a thread involving a host. If that's not ok mods can request me to back it up with full details.

Really don't get the hostility here. And don't appreciate the namecalling. If you feel like I was complaining, so be it. I'll leave it at this as we're probably not gonna agree on this subject.

If you're going to bitch about the service, give us the reason why- we're on page 25 for fucks' sake. Nobody got the time to read through all that. If you got your money back, and although unsatisfied, you really don't need to complain, now, do you? It sucks- but unlike other LET "Providers", you got your money back.
