So who's a cunt and just got their server delivered?
This cunt
Hope both your drives are DoA.
WHERE IS MINE???
i3-540/4GB with a pair of 6 year old RE4's and a bonus: 100Mbps port
Just wait until you get into the DRAC. My god is it painful.
I'm incorporating that into my Friday night as it goes inline with my other "activities"
They've now replaced my failed drive with one with 43336 hours
after waiting for days, all i got is trash
i3-540/4GB 100Mbps
Might want to put in a request now, then.
Actually, it only took like 3 hours to get access.. but now I am trying to get my ancient laptop to load, since firefox-esr+icedtea don't want to play nice with it. I forgot just how painful XP on a Pentium M w/ 2GB was.. but at least it's on par with the server.
Got an i3-540 delivered after opening a ticket and asking why it's taken a full week.
atleast you got it
I remember that this server came with 100Mbps costing 20EUR/month, and right now 10EUR with 1Gbps? So it's a good deal.
These cunts had my server running for three days and just delivered it an hour ago.
The fact that this is #0.33/day, and we're all bitching about getting what we ordered amuses me greatly.
Are you new?
Fair point.
He hasn't lost faith in humanity...yet.
Wow, they replied finally after 4 days, they fixed the RAID issue, lets see.
Religious comments in the pit thread only...
I'll let you know how decrepit they are if the reinstall ever finishes.
OK, after a whole 20 minutes of trying to get the lapturd on the interweb, the stupid DRAC software crashes out because the machine is too damn slow to keep WPA running and not completely swap out at the same time.
Who the fuck designs software that should deal with latency BY DESIGN to failover less than gracefully the moment it doesn't get it's fair share of packets in seconds? Oh.. right. Dell.
Wow, I'm surprised how quickly they had answered, especially at such a low price:
I should expect when I select No Raid that the Hardware card pass throught my drives right?
It still says Vendor: HP
I think I win for biggest turdboat in the I3-530 w/4G setup. Mine was throwing errors during their installation, so that'd likely be why I was setup sans-RAID.
Classy.
Some folks get to have all the fun!
Along with that, I need to change the virtual media to use the Java plugin, but I have read only access to the DRAC itself, so I can't change it. So glad I got volunteered to do this.
Also, there are two DIMMs in my machine but the BIOS is having trouble reading one, so it's disabled it.
Oh, and there's still a 'dedibox' user in the iDRAC- I wonder how many rentals ago that was in use.
@WSS but you got a i3-540 right? see, they advertised it as a i3-530. Gotta look for the positive bro!
Nope. I got an i3-530.
Oh, NVM. if that's the case....
