We used i2b back when we first started, and there wasn't much data centres around San Diego back then.
saphire? coincidently, it is the same node name as the chicago one
Glad you're back up @Damian, ordered one right away!
@Damian
my vps IP seems to bind to another vps.
Now the ssh port on new one is reset to 22, not mine; and i see kloxo installed but not my version.
I have made customer sites live after vps coming up, but now all are down.
Opened a ticket but no response for last 2-3 hours. Kindly have a look.

for tinyvps plan ?
if yes , how much for additional 128mb ram and and for 5gb space ?
and how to order and how we can pay?
thanks
@soda You'll probably get a better response if you open a sales ticket with them
Maybe we should go to rest and wait for Monday...
@syaman
i post this question in public because i think maybe someone want to know about it ...
and i'm on diamond node and everything work great , no problem so far ...

Wow, your 32 mb VPS still have 34mb free ram? O_o
Or you on another IPXCore offer, with 128 mb ram etc.?
speed test:

And of course apologize for my carelessness with total amount of memory
Yes
Haven't even logged into solus. Giving him a couple days before I even check on it, let some of the dust settle. Poor guys must be going through quite the caffeine budget
Mine pings but i'm unable to SSH into it (timeout). Also its shown as offline in Solus
In 6 months he'll be able to buy a cup of coffee from what I'm paying. Isn't that enough?
My VM is up and accepting connections, but no data is transferred. Shows as 'offline' in Solus. Weird
Looks like sapphire died. I'll ask for a reboot.
Unfortunately, we hadn't discussed how to effect support yet, as we hadn't anticipated issues so early. So, i've blanketed everyone with:
Called Adam, no answer.
Called Chris, no answer, left voicemail.
Sent an email to Chris, which goes to his phone directly.
Open support ticket with ChicagoVPS, as that's what bills us.
Not sure what more I can do at this point
@Damian join us on #lowendbox on freenode?
nope, @Asim still the "trophy" holder with his WHMCS thread
Purchase a switched PDU off eBay, then when it is time to replace your hardware in the future be sure IPMI is a purchased option.
Nothing in my bag of tricks for today
@Damian would having some form of "Authorisation" with the DC be applicable, for you to essentially just call up and say "yo, my stuffs is down, halp?!"? -- Don't know if this is possible since you went through CVPS rather than DC Directly.
From @Damian's email: Our node Sapphire has gone down in a 'soft-lock' condition, where it appears to be up by responding to ping, but is not accepting connections for services.
Actually my VPS is accepting connections, it's just not returning any data:
Well, we're coming up on 7 hours now.
=( I wanted to play with the server this weekend ='(
anyways, I'll try to walk in that hing called: outside
@Jack not helping :P
The server has been rebooted. Today was my day off so I slept in since I have not got much sleep past few days.
My tech team was unable to answer his ticket because they were not 100% sure what server was which, only I did. I have fixed this and marked in notes which is which and will lay out details for Damian and Adam so this miscommunication does not happen again.
Rebooted? Everything has been down, and still is...
I dont think you realize what it takes to reboot a machine. It has to go through each individual VM taking some time. It is not a 2 minute process.
I don't and I don't have to. I'm an end user, not provider, I don't have to understand what you do and won't do, the end user just want his/her stuff back online, that's all.
So when you said rebooted, I just assumed it was rebooted and to be back online.
If that was my lack of knowledge, sorry, that's why I buy vps not selling.
