He instructed that users had to open a dispute, as he did not have the refund option [ if you followed the thread at all, or opened the ticket as you were supposed to, etc. ]

No, actually wanting to help customers here on LowEndTalk is enough to get you hunted down as a witch. It even happened very recently when a member of the top 5 offered a refugee offer through agreement with the owner....

Sometimes the LET community tends to turn into a really negative atmosphere, I wonder if that comes with the Lowend factor.
Nothing to do with the price point, a lot of people have the mentality of pushing people down the ladder to boost their own ego. Simple as that IMO.

We cannot say whether any data has been breached at this time, but given that the server has been compromised, I strongly recommend you assume that there is a high risk of data breach and you should reset passwords on other sites where you have reused the same passwordl

I wasn't being specific at all, I've been replying to goodhosting's last comment and was talking about LET in general from my perspective. I'm not sure why you get all defensive, I couldn't care less about what happend in this thread, I'll rather stay neutral and watch the outcome instead of possibly adding more fuel on a already burning fire.

Five different people claimed they called the police, and each person also claims that the person said that someone else had already called in. Who knows if anyone actually did call, or if all five did; etc.
Police did go round to see him, he is fine and just working through the problems methodically now
Trust me, it's screwed up. The private companies operate it.
I did, and the dispatcher herself said she had someone else on the line as we spoke so I would assume at least two people called. Why would anyone lie about something like this?
His address is listed in his public WHOIS information that was linked/pasted a few pages back. That was the address I gave the police, at least.
I though the police came and talked to him. He probably told them it was all just a marketing ploy.
Or say thank you that anyone cared. Of course, that would involve focusing on someone other than himself for a split second, which he is incapable of.

Considering the signal to noise ratio on LowEndTalk in the last month specifically [LowEND, viCommunications, Tactical, Acclaim, GVH, etc.], it's hard to trust anything going on around here anymore. Fair enough if you did call. I'm not going to sit here and take the bait though, we don't even know for sure that anything was actually compromised yet.
I don't care if he doesn't care. I'll call the police as many times as necessary until he either learns to knock it off or gets some help.
