In all fairness, I was the one who banned everyone in that clusterfuck, not Maarten.

I'm not going to discus about it but I personally think that the ban was completely fine, everyone was just fucking around while the customers didn't get what they paid for, it was not cool. If I were in one of those customers shoes i'd feel played and very disapointed after reading that clusterfuck.

Servers are still up though and there's no patsy beyond Jon for the past 2 years so y'know... don't piss in the popcorn just yet! It will blow up, just give it time... the seeds have been sewn...

It's more the fact that at least Jon is online and posting and yet the allegations have not been denied nor sorted. We can only wait..

So is goodhosting, he is still running too :)

Sorry, it's hard to explain that whole situation in a sentence or what. And it's often hard to explain it at all, as people tell me things in good faith and stuff like that.

I'm talking to Jonny and they are going to respond. Just give them some time to give a statement. It may even be tomorrow before he makes a statement. If anything, he's trying to do it right for a change and not respond instantly without thinking about it for some time.

I'm out for a World Cup party, so you guys behave ;-)

    Ps. I'm not banning anyone.

Inb4 someone suggest you ban yourself :3

  • Banning them would be a gift to them and would release their pain. Currently, they have the emotional stress of constantly lying, trying to keep afloat on a ponzi scheme (check Skylar's reveal on the other forum), trying to fix technical issues without knowledge or experience. This will eventually teach them a lesson that a quickly earned buck is not worth all this stress.

Keeping them around is actually very educational in many aspects, such as:

    • Reminding other providers how not to handle things.
    • Giving inexperienced/naive consumers a lesson to always research about the company before buying.
    • Helping natural selection.

He already tried that didn't he? ;)

  • We're not running a ponzi scheme. Skylar and the vpsB crew likes to make up things which are not true to unjustly bash us.

We're not liars. I have no authorization to release a statement regarding any allegations at this time, however I would like to say that everything that we are doing at this point is for the better and that we're going to show our good intentions to positively benefit our customers and low end community through not just words, but actions as well.

Right. Clearly the pictures of skype conversations are all photoshopped. We'll leave it at that, because you're not worth my time.

Lying is not against the rules. If it were, I'd be banning people for the next week.

And you guys thought the best way to go about this is to create a fake identity as your new CEO with shiny promises of turning the company around? I honestly cannot see how an action like that indicates you have good intentions in any shape or form. Instead, you're basically showing everyone that your company is willing to lie through its teeth from the get-go and keep going until people expose your lies in an irrefutable manner (ie. the IP match-up with another provider under a different name using stock images for himself and his staff).

What's next, a faux apology about how "Yes, we admit we lied about Jaroslav who does not actually exist but we swear we did it for your own good because we felt that LET cannot handle the truth"? Or "Jaroslav is real and he is good friends with Alan from AcclaimedHost and happened to be at his house while creating his account"?

You really need to do something, though. Blatant bs slinging like this shouldn't really go unpunished.

I don't believe he is necessarily talking about a user at LET lying per say...He is talking about a provider of hosting services lying to clients/being unethical.

However your response does leave me to wonder (and feel free to PM me on this matter) what exactly is grounds for a provider to be banned on these forums?

I agree that just telling a lie doesn't deserve an automatic ban. But there should be some level of lying that warrants further action. There is some level of responsibility of the site/forum to protect customers from repeated blatant deception.
