5PM in AUS, are you guys back up?
Suppose it's only 2AM in Chigaco lol...
It would be start of business in Chicago time, give it a few hours still.
Or is @LowEND waiting to withdraw all his paypal balance to bank, to avoid chargebacks/disptes?
Australian ACH transactions take 4-8 business days to clear, so I'd say no.
Paypal doesn't transfer to bank accounts on weekends afaik.
does in the uk 24x7
Problems started on 29th, so been 5 days, or maybe he did the withdrawal some days ago ...
That's true, which I quoted (it isn't even anywhere near business time in Chicago yet) but LowEND is Australian.
If I was quoting local time, it'd be the UK.
however DC's are usually 24x7 so I cant see why anything but business hours is AUS would be relevant here?
Doesn't matter so much when you're giving people the run around
Perhaps the late payment to clear, since banks do not work in w-e?
Ah that would make sense yes, had not considered that but an INTL cheque would take significantly longer than 5 days and by that I mean working days so I doubt that is it and if the money was in hand/ available no one would ever even consider a cheque in these circumstances.
It might not be international, we know nothing and they do not share details, so we are only guessing, but there is a lot of BS here, many things dont add up.
@Maounique yep that pretty much sums it up, I don't think it helps that the newest recruit is obviously having fun winding customers up, I guess things will become obvious within 12 hours.
For some reason we're on Chicago time so up to 20ish I guess
To be fair though I think viComms is giving all the information he has, albeit in a way that isn't really fit for this situation. He can't see he's being taken for a mug too, he's too close to it.
well its 5am now in Chicago so 12 hours would be at the end of the business day so to be honest I would expect something within 6 at the most.
I suppose so. Still no idea where Chicago came from though... are the servers hosted there?
Thanks. I'm trying to keep clients up to date on everything, even though a large portion will decide to leave - we will still push forward. Services are expected to be restored shortly (by today) and a statement issued by Michael released recapping anyone who doesn't want to read through 6 pages of this thread.
I really do sincerly apolgize for the downtime, it's had an effect on a large number of clients and hopefully some of you out there still decide to stay with us after this blows over.
Our support services are online, if anyone needs anything, do not hesitate to open a ticket and we'll see how we can do to assist you further.
I've given all the information I have at this point in time, Michael is still somewhat busy preparing to deploy the nodes so we have everything online smoothly.
Cheers.
Yup, chicago, pheonix and amsterdam...
Not really that... The DCs Billing department is not open on weekends...
Well as one of the many people who has read through all 6 pages, I can tell you there is nothing in this thread that is even worth being 'recapped' by Michael. As he has never actually come out and said a single word about what happened, this thread is as good as useful as a chocolate teapot.
The TL;DR for the whole thread is simple - Michael got a cold and subsequently couldn't run his business for nearly a week. Presumably his hands were too busy blowing his nose to be able to use the keyboard and mouse effectively.
I think the white spots is just the pressure enforced on the carpet by the table legs.
How do you explain the jizz stains next to the lappy on the table.
There also appears to be a santa costume to the left. coughs
Looks like hard, polished wood, so finger prints.
Jizzy fingerprints.
Well Technically 2 days of this is actually not his fault or in his control. If it was not for the Billing department being closed on weekends through his DC we would have had service restored 2 days ago.
A responsible host pays in advance, does not wait to the last minute. So, if it is a billing issue, it is his fault.
