With the RAMpocalypse and hardware prices going through the roof, I am not expecting too many insane deals this year.
But how do we keep the madness alive? How can we exploit politely convince providers to give us some strategically priced $3/yr and $7/yr deals despite the AI bubble?

maybe they can offer 3yr pricing instead of monthly or annually to reduce the fees
For reputable providers sure. For new providers... maybe not
I’m hoping for sustainable deals—ideally ones that won’t see a price hike in the second year.

I reckon this year I am looking for more toys rather than $7 stocking-stuffers. I've upgraded from 'I want to roll a global private VPN / CDN' to 'I want to play with BGP, clustering, confidential compute'
I reckon I also want to replace my LA box - Psychz has been good but I want something a tad more performant than E3v2 on a direct line from Australia. And onshoring more compute to Australia would be nice - there's only so much Oracle and OVH that I can handle.
