@Mainfrezzer said: But how much will you trust a service that has this on their website.

About as much as one that says:

    Seedbox Allow
    Allow plex or others
    Public torrents Allow
    ADULT Websites Allow
Web 3.0 / Free Speech Allow
    Allow Tor Exit/Relay/Bridge

They allow a lot, but not everything:

    NO!! CP, DDoS, Spoofing,
    Ransomware,SPAM

Their ToS is pretty straight-forward too:

NO DDOS ATTACKS / IP SPOOFING / SPAM OR ANY THINGS WHAT PUT OUR IPS IN BLACKLIST
NO KIDS PORN , OR AI WITH KIDS PORN , OR DEAD KIDS PHOTOS FROM WARS OR DRUGS/WEAPONS OR OTHER SIMILAR THINGS , WE CONTACT IMEDIATLY POLICE

There wasn't even an attempt at effort in that ToS excerpt. If one already doesn't give a fuck there, how can you expect that at other parts ๐Ÿคฃ

    It's a god damn contract.

    Fruits and vegetables.

    it s allow

The ๐Ÿ… is legally a vegetable in the United States despite being obviously a fruit...

It's not like I don't believe the claims, its just awful enough to not consider any "official" business with it.

Now privately, under the table, sure, I would hand him cash. Same as the drug dealer downstairs.

Vegetable is a culinary term whereas fruit is both culinary and biological. So it's kind of both.

Same. I wouldn't host prod with iHostArt, but it's good enough for what I use it for. Or would have stayed so if not for the price increase and discontinuation of their cheap storage plan.

He announced on their discord that the 3TB plan is staying, but it's going up to 30 Euros. Still a heck of a price hike for an unreliable and oversold service, but...

So it looks like we need to work with M247 directly. They seem to be largely indifferent to abuse complaints. They simply forward the reports to the customer, and that is apparently the end of it.

However, M247 has moved away from the VPS business and now sells only dedicated servers directly, typically in the โ‚ฌ300-500 price range. At least, that is what their sales department says when asked about purchasing a VPS. The VPS247.com website is no longer current and is expected to be shut down or restructured.

And yes, the M247 network is full of questionable traffic. I see 2-5 attacks per day against my website originating from their network. Apparently, the business model works something like this: M247 sells a dedicated server, someone sets up a VM host on it, then sells VM guests to other customers, and those VM guests end up generating all kinds of threats, attacks, and other malicious traffic across the Internet.

You submit an abuse report, receive a response saying, "We have forwarded this to our customer," and then nothing else happens.

That is actually what attracted me to them. :)

A lot of VPNs use M247 network.

Absolutely correct! According to my site stats, M247 networks are the #1 source of attacks, including vulnerability scans and WordPress attacks. IONOS, DigitalOcean, AWS, Alibaba, and others are far behind in the statistics.

Which pretty much means any Tor exit in Romania I use will have to have M247 upstream!
