I assume so, since the 60% discount applies to "all basic plans" and the 2x RAM upgrade applies to "eligible basic plans". Whatever the overlap is, you should be able to get both. If not, then the OP is written misleadingly.

I got one of their cheap budget plans (not included in their promos in the OP) and am happy with the performance. Works great for my basic needs, plus I can happily browse websites and streaming services in Japan via Wireguard, including most that are a little too VPN/geoblock-happy

Why does the routing back to China detour through Hong Kong and South Korea? Is there any way this network routing can be optimized?

The route used is not detour, and KT is our upstream peering partner, allowing us to choose the best path to Hong Kong destination, which is a best-effort route. If you encounter any issues, you can submit a ticket with the traceroute results from the client to your VPS (and vice versa).

If you looking Singapore location with direct to Hong Kong or China Mainland ISP, you may start thinking twice before continue with our service.
