I don't recommend buying their service. For almost a year, it never worked properly or fully. Problems arose constantly. Price-quality. And they kept promising to change everything. But in reality, they were just trying to sell as much as possible.

I hear this often, but just as often those who say this are the same ones who renew our services, I don't talk about the specific case obviously but generally it's very easy to criticize and think that it's all simple to manage, not appreciating anything, like the fact of having fixed a disastrous situation that would have cut off the legs of so many hostings.

Many things promised have been done, others less so, but there are always reasons behind them and it does not mean deleted or set aside.

We listen, we are not deaf or blind, we just need time, we are a small team of 3/4 people who manage thousands of customers and hundreds of tickets a week.

Quality/price is unbeatable, even if quality lacking sometimes.

Thank you, I'm glad you understood our goal, to provide the cheapest services possible and not for heavy work.

Can you please check #NYA-921305? It is not only about PletX anymore, other things have come up.

And even if it were about PletX only, that doesn't justify not responding anymore, and just ignoring the serious issues it is causing.

I hope to receive +1 vCore and +1GB RAM

  • @DeluxHost, can you please process the cancellation and refund request I raised as part of #NYA-921305?

I would like to cancel at the end of the current term, now ending in early August. However, for some reason, it was surprisingly already auto-renewed more than a month before the renewal date (others have reported the same). Thus, I cannot cancel through the portal myself as it is already showing the next renewal date in August next year, 2027.

    Thank you, much obliged.

STORAGE is very slow / HDD can't be mounted quite often so decided to cancel that one. Cost me almost a day to find solutions on this and reached out via ticket with them which didn't receive an answer in appr. 1 1/2 day.

Also noticed that, when partially paid via funds and partially PayPal, the PayPal one is refunded without issues but the part that came from the funds requires people to reach out via ticket to get it resolved. Still waiting for a reply on that part. Thus those payments that partially came from a wallet/funds, aren't automaticly refunded!

So... when you order a service with DeluxHost.
Decide to pay the new service with they money you have put into your funds (€ 18,00), and pay the remaining amount of money via PayPal (€ 5,00).

You eventually only get paid back the money paid via PayPal, and the money you put earlier into your account with them, is considered lost and won't be refunded when you cancel the service and ask for a full refund?

    Proof: https://ibb.co/F4dfVXHW

This is called a fraudulent transaction DeluxHost!

Is there really a need to complain about everything?

I mean, we have a ticket system, call it what you want, but you should learn to give weight to words.

If you paid using credits, WHMCS will automatically refund the PayPal portion and the rest will be manual or returned to your account credit. What's so strange about that?

Give me your ticket id or something and i can try to help.

  • ScionerScioner Member

Not really a complain, or a reason to raise a ticket, but why there's no option to prolong service for more than one year?

I mean, I don't want to see invoices for a few years. I understand the risks, and I'm fine with it. Just let me do it, lol.

Well obviously it's exactly as DeluxHost likes isn't it? Not replying on tickets for a day, and not replying to chat messages even after having them read. But reply within 5 minutes as soon I post a complaint on LET is posted.

I mean, we have a ticket system, call it what you want, but you should learn to give weight to words.

True, and I asked for a refund which is € 23,00 instead of € 5,00. As where Lorenzo said "Refund was issued." A refund is issued when it has fully been issued, not a particle of that. There's nowhere mentioned the remaining amount has to be refunded manually, not in the KB, not in the reply of Lorenzo. Communication is key!

I even reached out via chat as where no reply has been given on any of those messages. A simple reply with "remaining amount will be credited manually" might have changed everything, so once again Communication is key!

Who do you think is it to blame when communication on the account credits is left out? How about stop asuming people know what WHMCS is, how it works etc. I haven't used WHMCS for 14 years now, and whenever we issued a refund - back then - we took care of everything at once... even parts that had to be done manually.

  • I would like to add my own experience, because handing out “extra vCores” should not be presented as a meaningful solution to service and performance problems.

I also asked @DeluxHost either for a refund or for the affected amount to be converted into an extension of my existing services. My request was effectively ignored. I did not insist on receiving cash back - I offered a reasonable alternative that would have allowed them to keep the money while compensating me with additional service time. Even that did not receive a proper response.

Instead, customers are offered random bonuses such as an additional vCore. In my opinion, this is more of a marketing gesture than real compensation.

The number of advertised vCores alone says very little about actual VPS performance. An additional virtual core does not automatically improve anything when the physical node is overloaded, CPU time is heavily shared, performance is throttled, or individual cores are already delivering poor results. Two slow and heavily contested vCores can easily perform worse than one properly allocated vCore on a healthy node.

    Real compensation would be:

    • a refund;
    • account credit;
    • an extension of the affected services;
    • migration to a properly performing node;
    • or a clear and measurable improvement in service quality.

Adding another number to the control panel does not compensate customers for downtime, instability or poor real-world performance.

This is my personal experience and opinion based on how my requests were handled. DeluxHost is welcome to respond publicly and explain why my request for either a refund or a service extension was ignored.

Just a quick heads-up for anyone considering using @DeluxHost.

It’s truly fascinating to see representatives active and posting here on the forum every single day, while urgent support tickets remain completely ignored for days.

A lovely frontend bug on their portal marked my Storage VPS for immediate 24h deletion, even though I specifically selected to cancel at the end of the billing period. The system said "only support can undo this." Fair enough. I opened a ticket immediately.

Result? Zero response for days. My server got deleted, data wiped, while the reps were busy writing forum posts.

If you value customer support or your data, think twice. Fantastic forum presence, terrible actual service.

I don't manage tickets, I help as I can, if you would have written to me I could have helped you too, we try to manage tickets as best we can and we give hundreds of responses a day to tickets, if you think that our services are not worth what many of you spend, that is, a few euros a month, in some cases cents, you can easily go elsewhere, there are many solutions that are definitely better than us.

We cannot guarantee everyone a response in a very short time, simply because you are not a few customers.

To be honest, I don't really care about posts or comments that try to get a quick response, since the systems are disconnected, and usually the one trying to help here in the forums is me, who probably, having less workload, can help you more quickly.

But leaving that aside, your ticket should now be resolved, the person who replied to you on the ticket will probably have forgotten or discounted the automatic refund, you're right about that.

But I still don't understand your being so aggressive in every message about us, maybe a little understanding wouldn't hurt.

You already had the ticket in your system. It was open, my request was clearly explained, and instead of resolving it, the communication stopped and the ticket was eventually closed.

I am not going to spend more of my time digging through old emails and searching for a ticket number just because the matter has now become public. When I contacted you privately through your official support channel, there was no such urgency to “understand first” or to help me find a solution.

You have access to your own support records, customer account history and closed tickets. Please search for the request concerning a refund or converting the amount into an extension of my existing services. It should not be the customer’s responsibility to reconstruct a case that your company received and closed without resolving.

To be clear, I am not asking for special treatment and I am not going to plead for assistance. I already spent my time contacting support and proposing a reasonable compromise. That opportunity was ignored.

If you genuinely want to investigate the matter now, please check your own records and come back with what you found. Otherwise, asking me to start the entire process again only after I described the situation publicly looks less like an attempt to solve the problem and more like an attempt to move the burden back onto the customer.

I'm reaching out, more than that is not possible.

Calling this “reaching out” is a very convenient way of presenting basic customer support as if you were doing me a personal favor.

You are not doing me a favor. You are responding now because the criticism is public. When the matter was reported privately through your own ticket system, there was no comparable urgency, and the ticket was closed without properly addressing my request for either a refund or an extension of my existing services.

More was absolutely possible. It was possible when the ticket was open and when nobody on this forum was watching.

This is not a request to investigate one anonymous account. I am writing about the general way customers are treated. This thread already contains other people publicly chasing old tickets, asking for pending matters to be expedited, reporting serious performance problems and even difficulties with the ticket system itself. My case is one example of a wider concern, not the entire subject.

It is also reasonable to assume that I may not be the only affected customer who would prefer an actual refund, account credit or service extension instead of a random “bonus” such as another vCore. An extra vCore does not automatically compensate for downtime, instability or poor real-world performance.

Trying to move everything into a private message and reduce the discussion to my ticket allows you to avoid addressing the general standard of support. I already used the private support channel. That is where the company had the opportunity to help, and that opportunity was ignored.

So please do not present a public response made after criticism appeared as some exceptional act of generosity. Customer support is not a favor. It is part of the service customers have already paid for.

Real support happens before the complaint becomes public, not only after it starts affecting the company’s image.

Otherwise, asking me to start the entire process again only after I described the situation publicly looks less like an attempt to solve the problem and more like an attempt to move the burden back onto the customer.

What I asked you is just a ticket id or your email that you can send me in dm to understand the situation and investigate, it is not humanly possible to search hoping to find your case, that is not how I can help you.

AFAIK, your only real criticism is that you didn't get the compensation you hoped for, which would have been exclusive to you and nobody else would have get this without asking, even tho the SLA and TOS clearly are on the side of @DeluxHost. Did I get this right?

  • @NotFoundException, you are arguing against a point I am not making.

I am not asking DeluxHost to identify me, investigate my account publicly or reopen my individual case in this thread. I am commenting on the general standard of customer support and on the fact that visible interest often appears only after a problem is posted publicly.

Your own experience is clearly different. You previously said that you use these servers for non-critical purposes and accept that they may occasionally be unavailable. That is perfectly fine, but it also means your satisfaction cannot be used to dismiss customers who expected a working service, requested a refund or did not accept a random technical bonus as adequate compensation.

This thread contains reports from several customers about delayed refunds, automatically closed tickets, unanswered requests and having to post ticket numbers publicly to receive attention. Reducing all of that to “provide your ticket ID” avoids the wider issue.

You have also complained elsewhere that a problem should have been handled correctly on the first attempt and should not have required escalation. That is exactly my point here.

An anonymous opinion does not become invalid simply because the provider cannot connect it to a billing account. This is a public discussion about customer treatment, not another support ticket.

When private support fails but the company suddenly becomes highly responsive once criticism is visible on a public forum, that is not someone generously “reaching out.” It is reputation management after the normal support process has already failed.
