Time to plug in my Oregon, US mail forward address.
Yeah. Bit of a bummer, but the service remains outstanding so I’ll cop it.
Just prepaid my annual service that was up for renewal next month
ok cool, will look in the panel cheers
On the dashboard, if you click the blue arrows circle next to "Next Due Date" under "Current Billing" for your service (bottom right), you can renew now (to extend your service by one billing cycle)
legend, thanks mate
So basically it’s an uneven price increases for everyone? Seems a bit unfair or didn’t I understand kt correctly?
Good write-up!
Changing/extending billing cycle is also covered in our KB
https://kb.onidel.com/hc/kb/articles/1758871755-how-to-change-vps-billing-cycle
Seems you operate out of Aus, how does this work with ACCC and their display pricing laws?
Displayed price must include GST, no?
I'd test but I assume my account is grandfathered so cant test until after the 15th.
yes, on the website (https://onidel.com) GST is included already if you're visiting from Aus.
panel will be updated to reflect this to Aus customers as well.
Just revisit the ACCC YouTube. I remember 8-12 years ago it was like this

Onidel: ACCC shenanigans allow
I just wanna know when @oloke is gonna give us a $7 thing
Need it to be $6.40 to account for the 10% gee-esss-tee
Maybe 100GB S3 $6.4/year
thanks for your support. it truly means a lot to us.
we'll be running a promotion in the next few weeks once the Melbourne location is live, but don't expect anything too crazy.
hardware prices don't seem to be coming down, and freight costs are fk high right now. we used to pay around $500-$600 to ship half a pallet from the US to Singapore or Australia. Now, the exact same shipment costs about $1,200. I don't even want to look at DDR5 pricing right now.
that said, we'll keep expanding - just at a slower pace than we originally anticipated. Our top priority remains delivering high-quality service, and we have no plans to compromise on that.
we'll also be introducing smaller S3 plans, likely starting with a 250 GB annual plan.
Yessss, bring on the onideals
Hello, i love you
Good bye
I'm waiting for Black Friday sales; I wonder what interesting deals will be available this year?
Woo Hoo!
Could you also consider a "pooled" S3 plan - where we can have some S3 storage (pooled across locations) for redundancy? It would be very comforting to know that I have 2 copies of my backups on your S3 storage in 2 locations :-)
can i be an onidel LUVER but an oloke HATER?
No.
idk, let me ask if our vendors have any BF deals for us first
you mean splitting 250G into 125GB in AU and 125GB in SG?
how could you hate oloke
Mission Impossibel 67: Hate Oloker
Any plans to have LA or similar location?
You’re welcome. Thanks for a great service that continues to add cool new features along the way.
Out of interest, how’s the managed SQL going? Haven’t heard any news regarding beta changes to that one for a bit.
how “similar”? high bw and good connectivity to APAC?
yeah we are still working on it, fixing bugs and addressing feedbacks, but resources are being filled up quite quick so we are reserving for VMs atm
SLC, anywhere in west coast to be honest. Just asking tho, my clientbase require lather low latency to LA game servers rather than APAC region etc
