that ralf is such a weirdo. keep saying stupid word. personally, i want stop talking this topic. All right, I'll ignore him.
I can see the screenshot just fine.
Nowhere in the screenshot does it say anything approximating “because of my post, the San Jose migration was stopped for other customers,”
Nowhere in the screenshot is there any evidence of "while others are talking as if I demanded something absurd like “$10,000” in compensation"
Where were these things said?
Oh, i see. Sorry, i had no idea this was some kind of 1-on-1 discussion in regards to ironing out the details as i did not bother to read anything. In that case don't let me distract you. Just carry on as if i hadn't posted.
in picture,
" This has led to many people proactively submitting work orders to switch to DC3, but all of them are being rejected. "
and it also said it's me want to migrate to san jose.
i really do not understand how some people read and think.
i never asked to migrate to DC03 or San Jose. Whether it’s San Jose or DC03, their ticket requests to migrate there got rejected — that has nothing to do with me.
It's a metaphor. Some people make it sound like I'm asking too much. like i asked rn for $10,000. i did nothing wrong. too far
That's why I clarified again.
Did I make it clear for you to understand?
what can you help me?
he misunderstood where people were joking about moving him back to sj, and he actually clearly says "are talking as if". you've quoted it yourself. the guy obviously has trouble with english and you're really just being a cunt, why not just stop?
No! Use a translator. AI will change the tone of every message.
Dude, just accept the $10 loss. It's literally $10.
You used Racknerd for a few years, and it treated you well, but sometimes not all good things last forever, and things don't always go your way.
Just find a different provider and accept the loss buddy.
I modified the thread title because "Worst Experience." is clearly crazy talk.
I'm impressed with how RackNerd handled this situation. Tough that their one vendor closed up shop with so little notice.
Of course they did not! It says in their TOS that they will not do that.
Racknerd's TOS clearly states that they do not offer refunds.
You ask for a refund.
Please explain to me how this is not you asking for special treatment, and please explain how this makes my comment stupid?
@forest
Depends on how to use it. The original sentence I input is English, AI only helps fix grammar.
RackNerd didn't do anything wrong in this case.
Simply, their upstream datacenter close down, they rapidly move all user to another datacenter at the same city and same (even larger) level. They provided everything in product description.
OP's personal preference is unreasonable to terminate contract unilaterally.
@ralf not being a cunt, just playing along with mjj drama...
Try this kind of shit on NS and see what happens....
Not taking sides... Just observations.
For a male dominated industry there seems to be an uncommon amount of drama queens.
If all would just listen and take the advice of veterans like @zed
Wait I thought we were all little girls what
You got me there, little girls and weebs
Oh, but not @ehab , he strong, big and very masculine.
Can translators handle the shit typing? (E.g. "u") will it form complete sentences that make sense?
The tone really only gets bad because the input prompts made it that way. To regular people, it just cleans up readability.
how naive you got to be, to say “Regular” people, 8 billion, unique individuals all around the world, different lifestyles, world views, politics, opinions, I can go on and on… sad sad sad just because you feel you associate with a certain type of person does not make you “regular"
I figured the shit typing was a result of laziness due to not writing in their native language. If they type that way in their native language as well, then that's another issue and yeah, a translator won't handle that.
Yes, the people who post the AI slop with extra irrelevant whining is a symptom of non-regular people.
accepted
It's what it's. At one point of our life, we have been insufferable bitches. But, people with these tendencies exist.
Most girls would prefer a drama-free day, right?
To be fair, I was being a bit of a cunt (and enjoying it). Then I realised I had more important things to do and got busy retiling my bathroom. I think I prefer trolling to tiling.
You sneaky bastard you!
In the future, could it be that all providers will be able to use a shared data center—one that everyone needs—to sell VPS services to users as long-term servers, and then, once they’ve built up a certain user base, announce a migration without offering refunds?
Of course. It's the industry standard.
I can understand what the original poster means, because RackNerd DC2 uses the MULTACOM datacenter, and MULTACOM’s network connection to mainland China is very stable — much better than many other datacenters.
RackNerd has been saying that their upstream provider, MULTACOM, is going to relocate.
However, CloudCone, which also uses the MULTACOM datacenter as its upstream provider, does not seem to be relocating. I would like to know why this is the case.
Hi @tommyren
tl;dr ... but from what i saw:
i do understand that if you are buying a specific cat race you paid for this specific cat race.
If the provider suddenly gives another cat race, even its very similar, then its simply not the cat race you purchased.
At the end of the day @dustinc tried to find a way out of this issue by offering an internal refund you could use when extending your existing service with them in his first reply of this thread.
I do fully understand that after this experience you might not desire to extend the other existing service with them. But as it seems there wont be a better offer / solution coming and this thread here does not look like there will be any more constructive exchange here.
You made your point and the best you could do now is to accept this experience, vote with your wallet and accept the internal refund as this is the most you will get from this provider.
Every continuation of this does not seem to change this and will just hurt the message.

This data center will no longer exist. RackNerd preemptively saved its users before the real drama began.
I have been hosting customer in the past 20 years and such moves are not new. However, in this case i don't really understand the bitching from the OP. Dustin moved their service for OP's own good because the DC was closing and most importantly they moved to a location which is only 1 mile away from this DC, we are not saying complete location shut-down, but only one mile away and now this smart guy wants refund for all the years he used and abused the service. What a reason to be bitching for.
