It is utterly wrong of Lewis to have changed the payment gateway email address, even if it is a business account, which should not and cannot happen when it is an account belonging to the domain. By law, this only constitutes a serious infraction.
Haven't you realize that you can password reset them? Pretty logical, no?
The domain doesn't belong to you? You're not the current owner?
Hi Lewis. How was your holiday?
I agree this thread should be closed and our account on here isn't going to be used anymore anyways. This thread makes zero sense as its just in circles even though all the info is here and verified. I still have ZERO idea what anyone is complaining about.
I'm not sure why you're so worried about our company, we can handle it and don't need your advice
There are always pros and cons to this, it's debatable, but I don't think it's the 'right discuss' to address. It's solely a staff decision.
I agree that it should happen. And I'm done with commenting on here because every time I try to bring logic and common sense. no one seems to understand basic laws and everything is in circles because there's nothing to complain about.
Y'all are just looking for an excuse to be mad at us because we have every intention of keeping the service online and operational.
Also we're not telling people not to chargeback, just to let us know about it so we can help keep things legal.
And that we're fully verified, legal, compliant and abiding by every law and regulation. You have all checked this yourselves and found the info to prove we're legit.
Literally zero reason to keep this thread going, because it'll be the same thing for the next 3 years while people keep renewing and growing and everything else. All while you guys try to scare people into thinking for some reason their service will disappear. So you guys keep this conversation going for months and years while we build the best hosting platform around. Check out our website and discord and other forums for info and promos as they come. Big things to come soon!!!!!
Therefore, escaping from the reality that is happening is the best thing to do. Thats what you're saying.
Underestimating us, I see.
Being legal or not doesn't mean to do things the right way with your clients.
Funniest shit I've read today, given the context of this "acquisition".
Somebody Call LewTomEricAndy's mom, this has gone on long enough.
So how does you know when someone send paypal dispute and you terminate his service without even opening ticket if you don't have access to this things ?
Sure.
I had:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6248 CPU @ 2.50GHzwith GB6 at964Now I have:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) Silver 4214 CPU @ 2.20GHzwith GB6 at664Maybe, just maybe, the problem is not with "no one understanding"; maybe the problem is with you. When you feel like you're alone against the world, maybe the problem is not with the world, maybe it could be your fine self.
I will live without an answer again. Ignored since is not convenient to talk about it.
No, the problem is with MJJs, Karens, and some LETsters just loving to have a witch hunt, and being utterly unfair and hypocritical.
Example: @VeloxMedia is demanded to prove everything while the people accusing him just make wild assertions.
Example 2: VeloxMedia already explained in quite some detail that he can read relevant basic info on charge back requests but has no access to Lewis' PayPal account (and others as well I guess). Yet some marauders just say they don't believe that that is, they simply ignore his explanation which does make sense.
As for your (@default) VPS now being on a weaker processor I presume that's but an unintentional mistake. The right way to get that sorted out is a ticket.
And I know for a fact what I'm talking about because my ticket, also due to some hiccup, was responded to and even some action was performed upon my request during Christmas!.
Btw, most of us who have a VeloxMedia VPS did basically get it for free, as seen from Eric's perspective because AFAIK Lewis did not pro-rata hand over our payments. I might be wrong on that but if I got it correctly, we have reasons to be grateful for Eric seeming to honour our deals.
Funny also - and sad - that it wasn't Eric who just ran away, nope, it was Lewis. But Eric is attacked over and over again.
So, as I said, plenty Karens, MJJs, and marauders here.
>
Well Eric was the one dumb enough to pick up the scraps of an exit scam...
But who said Lewis ran away? If he is still helping Eric? Do you know who is talking on VeloxMedia account?
Are you able to answer questions, in behalf of @VeloxMedia ? I dont think so.
Right, current and former clients that needs an answer.
Better think in this client perspective, if Eric now will terminate your service(s), you will like it? Even without any refund?
If the domain belongs to him, he can do whatever he wants with the payment gateway accounts. Or is it not advisable to do it either?
Also, If Eric is being attacked, based on the stance taken with various clients, it's possible to validate these behaviors within this same thread. He is only reaping what he sowed.
Thanks for insulting everyone who has provided examples of shit service from the host, provided genuine criticism and has fairly dunked on someone who has no idea what they're doing. I feel no need to read the rest of your post.
I'm sure your counterpoint would have been fine... If you didn't open up with that.
You keep on bringing up that there isn't a relation between you and the "Lewis-customers". Well, you provide a service to them - although in your view it's "free", that is enough to be called a relation. And with providing a service come obligations. The data they have on those VPSes are under your control. But obligations seems to be something you don't want to acknowledge. Because "your legal team" bla bla.
I've got a friend who is a lawyer specialiced in IT. Ofcourse I've discussed this with him. He's clear: even if the deal between you and Lewis is without existing customers, by providing a service to them since that moment you have obligations and are required to inform customers, especially since both terms of service have changed or will change and because the legal entity has been moved to another person/company and even more: country.
I'm also wondering what will happen when a customer renews through the customer portal, also, your customer portal. Most likely one of 3 things can happen:
But don't believe me or another customer or whoever - denial of laws in other countries that you do business in can seriously bite you.
Did you buy your Velox VPS using a non chargebackable method?
So you have the intention to provide a service to people who you deny the existence of because they don't have a contract with you, but with Lewis. That makes sense. Not.
I doubt that. No, I know for sure that isn't. There is nobody in this world that is compliant and abiding every law and regulation in every country. And you are offering services to the whole world. Being so sure that "everything is 100% legal" is just as stupid as saying that you'll have "100.0% uptime". You simply can't guarantee that.
Every reason to keep this thread going. You'll be watched every step. And because you've already made mistakes and will make them in the future they should be written here. As a warning to others to not do business with you.
A forum has the right to share experiences with a company or person. You can't do anything about that. Besides, who are we - in your opinion we're not customers of you.
Could you explain this. I've searched this thread but don't find the answer.
How can using a service with you become illegal when someone does a chargeback against the previous person who you say you don't have any obligations against because you don't consider those people customers? That doesn't make sense. Telling people to notify you that they've done a chargeback against another person is a 100% admission that you deliver a service to those people and so they are your customers.
Which is your discord channel? can yon post invite link please
Interesting take. And utter nonsense.
No, IIRC I used PayPal.
It would have been better to admit your weakness and say you can't answer...
Why? Eric bought VeloxMedia, if we can say that, so it is the legitimate owner.
The accounts belong to VeloxMedia itself, even though Lewis as sole trader.
Stop making assumptions about my VPS or about the provider! I am already tired of you presuming all your nonsense ("of bloody course" I am - to write in your pathetic repetitive words). I did not ask for your assumptions, especially considering the plans were clearly title-labelled on provider's client area as Intel Gold, as well as in invoices. This was easy to distinguish when migrations were done.
I shall take a moment to advise all active customers to check their CPU - I have a hunch this is not the only service downgraded.
I know about opening ticket, but it's a shitshow already as we can all see at page 67. Adding more load in tickets of refunds and chargebacks becomes irrelevant at this point. I stopped caring long ago - let me enjoy my drama! The provider asked for unhappy person, so I stated a fact from his platform - a great salt for my popcorn!
But your VPS was free! (from Eric's perspective)
Would you actually let money in lewis hands, if hes gone, or would you give the money to eric so he can pay bills with it?
@VeloxMedia that should be an option for yourself
Actually for customers want to stay.
Incompetency tends to do that to you, yes.
Playing a shell game with who's responsible for what (either you or Lewis, depending on what is most convenient) doesn't fool anyone here either.
Show us all your invoice. Why haven't you filed a chargeback? Why haven't you popped a ticket?
So your service is working fine but just on a different CPU? Has it been working perfectly fine?
Just file a chargeback since you're not happy and pop a ticket saying such and we'll delete your account. Problem solved. You should be happy you just got free service for all this time and a full refund. What more could you possibly want.
Either this isn't true or it's a mistake that Lewis put in the system and us fixing things caused an adjustment we couldn't see because we fixed an issue
WTF...
So the service is not as purchased and also not “free” as it was purchased
