Thanks for the detailed reply.
The question is, then, in time for BF sales? If not, are pre-orders a possibility to snag these deals???
@dustinc is awesome. I love everything they do.
Well trying to do that exactly.....
I can totally relate. Winning this would require a great balance of work, thread and sleep. Hope you master it ASAP. Please do not mistake me hyping you up to be a reason to take up habits that will be harmful.
Yup, I found it on NodeSeek. Good tool.
Here is mine: https://chicken.mjj.lol/ (yes, I am an addict)
Infact, there was a time, I used to have 4-6 cups of coffee a day. But, I soon realised that, after a point, your body becomes tolerant to it and caffeine ceases to have the same energy-inducing effect. For some, it doesn't. They usually icnrease their intake instead. And, that's when it had the potential to be dangerous.
Hi @Elraz -- totally get where you’re coming from, and appreciate you bringing it up.
We’ve been at this for a long time, and this isn’t our first Black Friday rodeo, not even close. We operate with very clear limits, safeguards, and real human eyes on things 24x7, so overprovisioning isn’t something we take lightly. There’s a reason we’ve been able to repeatedly handle huge waves of BF demand year after year without compromising performance, while maintaining our excellent reputation we're known for.
We plan ahead, we monitor closely, and we deliver the experience people expect from us. As such, rest assured everyone who jumps on these promos will be deploying on healthy, well-managed nodes
no worries.. i am too old to take up new habits. but it will be fun to get into the circle of activists here..
i came for nice deals and discounts, i am staying for a myriad of reasons though.
I love the domain, can I get subdomain pointing to my NS
Oh yeah, those gaming mousepads are something else! Oversized for a reason, tons of room, super smooth, and they just feel right on the desk. I'm rocking it both at home and the office. Glad to hear you’re enjoying yours, always cool seeing our gear getting real use out there
That's how RackNerd threads are. You are getting the hang of it. All the best to you!
that seems a bit heavy... I actually run about 80 VPS on my VPN, and made my own monitoring of the work they do, much lighter.. and way less info displayed.. i would post a screenshot, but i go by IPs so there's no need to reveal those... 😊😊
What framework do you use for monitoring? Or, is it completely custom?
Wow, just now realised that even RackNerd's shared hosting uses Ryzen 7950X! https://www.racknerd.com/BlackFriday/#shared-hosting
This is awesome.
Yes! But last night we discussed that there might be a special promo for eu locations
just my own PHP scripts looking into job files on my central servers.. monitoring connections and times to VPSs and thru them to internet, telling me which are down, which are on and how fast they are.. although my VPN bandwidth usage is wayyy higher... all with CF and using their WARP too, so it's a very complex environment where I made it look neat and show only the info i need..
Just got back home!
Let's wait and see how it unfolds which i highly doubt.
Good! Dustin is still active, I believe. Time to bring the hype up.
Why? @dustinc any comments on this
?
ok i'm assuming @dustinc is going thru all the backed up posts which he needs to reply and such, so I am taking a break for house chores and a shower, yes, you all need to know about it, i agree..
will be hoping to get back to an upcoming giveaway or flash sale.. i figured, since active here all the time, maybe i wait on getting a VPS at while very low, still a nominal price (i got Canada VPS from racknerd in summer sale for same price as right now), so maybe I keep trying to get on a flash sale.. in any case, break is ON.
Wow, another fellow PHP enthusiast. I have been a PHP-only advocate for quite a long time now, till last month, when ChatGPT got me hooked on Python, even though I am still Python-illiterate.
I hope you return to an awesome giveaway.
time to hide then.. 🙈🙈🙉🙉🙊🙊
i mean, they have predefined inventory for a reason, maybe some flash sales here and there and that's it.
i have the book - Head First Python - but still haven';t finished.. but python is awesome.. but so far I seen no benefits from PHP for frontend development..
Wow! Thanks for replying to this post and for the clarification!
My last VPN provider just threw so many customers onto the nodes that they became unusable.
It doesn’t matter if you have 12 vCores when 8,000 people are using the same CPU.
the aftermath of CF outage is real, some services are still down even after hours and some are having issues with random freezes (service workers).
i actually use full-desk mouse pads for the last few years, find them to be very comfy..
Yah, but, I recently discovered Python's ntlk which seems to be 10 times smarter than PHP when it comes to sifting through text and editing them.
