@dustinc When is the restock likely for AMS and Dublin?

Hi @hennaboy -- great question, and good timing too.

Dublin is looking like it’ll land sooner, as in this month sooner. We’ve been pushing pretty hard on that one, and things are lining up in our favor.

Amsterdam will follow, but Dublin is definitely poised to be the first to restock at this rate.

Appreciate you keeping an eye on things!

    Thanks for the detailed reply.

The question is, then, in time for BF sales? If not, are pre-orders a possibility to snag these deals???

  • @dustinc is awesome. I love everything they do.

Yeah true, but then I might some replies when I'm asleep!

Maybe sleep when you are sleeping. LOL! I am just kidding. But, yah, on a serious note, keep a check on your regular sleep cycle. Don't be like me.

I usually charge my phone downstairs, so there's no temptation to check at night

That's actually a neat trick. Infact, it's best not to keep your phone in the your bedroom while you sleep. That's atleast what some studies say.

My sleep schedule is probably the best out of all my friends xD

That's good to know. Mine is the worst among many people I know, in the same field.

    Are you sure? 😁

No, I meant, those that I know in person. I am pretty sure, there are atleast 5 other people on this exact page with a worse sleep schedule than me.

Lol my schedule is all over the place, you know the reason well enough..... Ugh.... Caffeine.....

LOL yah. I am guessing you are still young, so, it's better to get ahead of this caffeine habit before you lose complete control.

Well trying to do that exactly.....

my competition gone up a few notches since i went to sleep last night. I actually adhere to a very strict sleeping schedule, loving it when my watch says "GREAT SLEEP" but doesn't happen too often.. that schedule might turn out to be my weakness for this thread..

I can totally relate. Winning this would require a great balance of work, thread and sleep. Hope you master it ASAP. Please do not mistake me hyping you up to be a reason to take up habits that will be harmful.

would love a chef entry, but thats reserved for the main BF event, so I'll be happy with some GAs, especially resource ones!

Infact, there was a time, I used to have 4-6 cups of coffee a day. But, I soon realised that, after a point, your body becomes tolerant to it and caffeine ceases to have the same energy-inducing effect. For some, it doesn't. They usually icnrease their intake instead. And, that's when it had the potential to be dangerous.

wow it's interesting to see how many people ask for a bandwith upgrade - e.g. bought something. Seams that these specials really work. :D Good for you!

I'm mostly afraid that all the orders placed will result in too much overprovisioning!

Hi @Elraz -- totally get where you’re coming from, and appreciate you bringing it up.

We’ve been at this for a long time, and this isn’t our first Black Friday rodeo, not even close. We operate with very clear limits, safeguards, and real human eyes on things 24x7, so overprovisioning isn’t something we take lightly. There’s a reason we’ve been able to repeatedly handle huge waves of BF demand year after year without compromising performance, while maintaining our excellent reputation we're known for.

We plan ahead, we monitor closely, and we deliver the experience people expect from us. As such, rest assured everyone who jumps on these promos will be deploying on healthy, well-managed nodes :)

@sh97 today birthday? Damn son, happy birthday, party hard and let's ask bossman for some GAs on the way

thank you - one can hope.
would love a chef entry, but thats reserved for the main BF event, so I'll be happy with some GAs, especially resource ones!

RAM or CPU core, which one would you choose for your bday?

RAM, I am actually running out of it on my main Racknerd VPS.

    What dashboard is that?

    Komari

A good find man, thanks for sharing.

Yup, I found it on NodeSeek. Good tool.
Here is mine: https://chicken.mjj.lol/ (yes, I am an addict)

that seems a bit heavy... I actually run about 80 VPS on my VPN, and made my own monitoring of the work they do, much lighter.. and way less info displayed.. i would post a screenshot, but i go by IPs so there's no need to reveal those... 😊😊

What framework do you use for monitoring? Or, is it completely custom?

just my own PHP scripts looking into job files on my central servers.. monitoring connections and times to VPSs and thru them to internet, telling me which are down, which are on and how fast they are.. although my VPN bandwidth usage is wayyy higher... all with CF and using their WARP too, so it's a very complex environment where I made it look neat and show only the info i need..

Wow, another fellow PHP enthusiast. I have been a PHP-only advocate for quite a long time now, till last month, when ChatGPT got me hooked on Python, even though I am still Python-illiterate.

i have the book - Head First Python - but still haven';t finished.. but python is awesome.. but so far I seen no benefits from PHP for frontend development..

wow it's interesting to see how many people ask for a bandwith upgrade - e.g. bought something.

Wow! Thanks for replying to this post and for the clarification!
My last VPN provider just threw so many customers onto the nodes that they became unusable.
It doesn’t matter if you have 12 vCores when 8,000 people are using the same CPU.

  • the aftermath of CF outage is real, some services are still down even after hours and some are having issues with random freezes (service workers).

Damn hopefully I can get one of these
15x Newest Edition RackNerd Coffee Mug
to show off in my office :D

I have the mousepad and i love it

Oh yeah, those gaming mousepads are something else! Oversized for a reason, tons of room, super smooth, and they just feel right on the desk. I'm rocking it both at home and the office. Glad to hear you’re enjoying yours, always cool seeing our gear getting real use out there :)

i actually use full-desk mouse pads for the last few years, find them to be very comfy..

Yah, but, I recently discovered Python's ntlk which seems to be 10 times smarter than PHP when it comes to sifting through text and editing them.
