Unbeatable Ramnode - So Much Happy :)
Just upgraded one of our 4 months old 128MB SSD VPS to 512MB SSD-Cached, and totally blown away by the IO
dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -rf iotest
16384+0 records in
16384+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.00473 s, 1.1 GB/s
Prompt Support and Quality Service - Just unbeatable at this price (120GB Disk, 2CPU Core, 512MB Ram at $4.35/mo)

I'm sorry, what?! 120GB DISK FOR THAT PRICE?!?
Yeah
Thats pretty impressive, maybe its a new node and its not very busy yet?
Please give me the link. EXTREMELY interested.

It's an affiliate link btw. Just pick the SSD Cached, 512 MB and use the coupon "SOMUCHLOVE" for 42% recurring discount.
My one is in Seattle

Just checked in one of our 5 months old SSD-Cached 128MB vps and it is still 600MB-700MB:)
And pls note that it's not even pure SSD. In pure SSD nodes, it is more like ~1.3GB/s
What node are you on?
I upgraded a 256MB to 512MB SSD-Cached KVM yesterday and I'm seeing the same result, very very happy.
I'm on NLCKVME5-2
dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -rf iotest 16384+0 records in 16384+0 records out 1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 0.994792 s, 1.1 GB/s
SEACVZE5-5 and SEACVZE5-3
It's my first RamNode VPS and I couldn't be happier with it.
From my just under 1 year old Atlanta plan, running Munin and monitoring 15+ servers:
I don't normally keep any VPS longer than 1 year, but I'm pretty sure I'm hanging onto this one.
Just did the same on an OVH VPS I still have from late last year. Was taking a very long time so I stopped it and after around 120 seconds, it had copied 557MB and a rate of 4.5MB/s - epic fail.
128MB pure SSD OpenVZ (ATLSVZ31):
256MB SSD-Cached KVM (ATLCKVME5-3):
I'm getting ~200 MB/s on both of mine - still very happy with them as they out perform most others I have, just must be a bit more full.
This is from my OVH dedi, the server's largely idle:
Yeah I only managed about 160MB/s on our SoYouStart dedi.
Impressive SSD cached benchmarks.
I have been with them almost a year and have never filled out a support ticket.
RamNode always gets my vote in the quarterly poll. Just a great provider.
SEACVZE5-4
dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -fr iotest
16384+0 records in
16384+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.97103 s, 545 MB/s
SEACVZE5-2
dd if=/dev/zero of=iotest bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -fr iotest
16384+0 records in
16384+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 2.1189 s, 507 MB/s
They've been the best i've ever come across . +1 for Nick's Management of this business
Same here, loving the vpses from RamNode. @Nick_A has really done a great on this one
Wow, thanks guys. I'm extremely grateful for your positive words
@iKeyZ - you might be on one of the new SVZ nodes that needs a firmware update. We have already done ATL and NL, with SEA left to do shortly. Send in a ticket, though, if you want us to take a look. Even fully loaded nodes are faster than that, so I'm guessing your node just needs that update.
I recently moved multiple servers to RamNode and so far, the servers are blazing fast, support has been stellar, and now I realize I should have found this provider sooner! Certainly going to get my vote for Best Providers next time around.
Whats the Raid 10 configuration of these servers?
@Nick_A - I'm getting 200-300 MB/s on the NL nodes NLCVZE5-2 & NLCVZE5-3
Finally, a good provider with positive feedback.
Congratz @Nick_A
I love your SSD Cached
Gotcha. That's not unusual on those, but we will take a look if you send in a ticket.
Thanks again guys, really appreciate it.
@Nick_A
any new offers coming soon?
I find ramnode's network to be the most impressive part.
why send in a ticket ? you already read the issue here and replied about it, why not just correct it ?
It's not really an issue, 200+ MB/s is quite a bit faster than I would expect to get.
