Which 3TB storage are you talking about? Did they announce discontinuation of those?
He plans to discontinue entire VPS lineup to focus on dedi.
Storage probably also counts in there, which would be a pain because I recently snapped one
Maybe only new order will be not possible?
Source of that?
A brainfart a bit earlier in this topic: https://lowendtalk.com/post/quote/204550/Comment_4391352
Basically says thinking about maybe dropping VPS from portfolio. Anyway, nothing for certain.
In some other older posts I can't remember it has also been said
(source: trust me)
great i guess.
what a shitshow of a provider lol
I said, ill see. Thats nothing for sure. And yes i have mentioned before thinking about it.
As business men you have always to find solutions to a problem. Either you find solution or you have to realize that it wont succeed and leave it over to others on the market.
And because the VPS products have many support demands while being on the bottom price-wise, its hard to cover. As mentioned im trying to train some Staff from India with a business-partner i know for years and eventually solve that in the next months and can contiune offer such VPS in the long, or not. But it cant not stay like this forever, you know, im not going in circles.
Thats just normal. I have alot of demand for dedicated servers. Its why i build the network like this.
A other day some customer buys 10 dedicated servers with 10Gbit unmetered etc etc. Pulling additional 40gbit on average.
Every business is different, other providers may have the opposite. But for me thats my way. My Niche.
I know someone else with a Hosting business, he sell VPS but recently sold his company because he found that hes making more with just consulting.
Thats his way.
Especially for deals on LET level. Do you think that covers anything? then your far away from the reality. Costs rake up fast even if its just few euro here, there. We all know it,
even small amounts can turn into a elephant.
I dont know neither what people think im doing the whole day. Im surely not sitting there just wanking.
Anyway i dont have to defend my decisions here.
This kind of reactions only make it easier for providers to stop with certain aspects of their current business or on LET. Great job you do, reacting on only a thought that someone has.
Even people that I've never heard publicly critique providers have done with @HostSlick. They've discontinued and screwed a bunch of customers because they can't make planned and clear decisions for their business future.
Telling your customers constantly about "get X amount of bonus" for replenishing balance thinking you're able to renew your services further and then the provider suddenly discontinuing them is fucked.
@HostSlick is it good idea to fire up 1tb transfer now?
Disruption expected? better wait until tomorrow?
Will take a few days anyway to finish
We are trying again right now and commit in 15min
Technican has tested something in his lab with the config and fixed/debugged the yesterdays
Then what about making deals that are sustainable and not a loss for the next X years? Or increase prices, telling everyone in advance? You've discontinued so many plans it's just a joke at this point. I'm the type of guy that never really opens a ticket, but it's been crazy how many I've had to open with you because, either VPS goes down, disappears, breaks, ... And I can certainly guarantee a few LET providers can even vouch for me on that one.
Oh and btw, one of my VPSs have disappeared and has been down for days again.
yeah I try to not punch down too much, but this is an absolute disaster. glad i always got bad vibes from them and never actually purchased any services.
Appreciate it.
Sorry btw for creating this topic in the first place, didn't expect it to be going like that
So when I receive my refund for 2 undelivered Ryzens?
You reply here, not on tickets or Telegram.
I'm waiting 16 days, you said 7-14.
If I knew they plan to discontinue the VPS lineup I would have snatched an additional compute vps + storage vps from hosthatch's flash sale. I doubt they will offer those sweet smaller plans again. Ah well.
It doesn't matter if there is a better BF deal when they plan to discontinue VPS plans
Sorry been extremely busy, i come back to u soon, replied telegram
Now bgp fine. GTT warming up, 50gbit already outbound going there. Doing fine tuning and complete bgp-mix now. At least congestion should be away now
@lowendlurker
not sure, it could be the node you are on. I pulled SSH of one of the storage nodes.
Im making a break, i have massive headache. Then i need to make fine tuning with technican, tickets, wake up my support helping hand/guy and process some other stuff.
For now we have passed the worst part.
All fine, seeing big speeds now as well.
Thanks for all the updates on your process in this!
well there gonna be other providers. there's planty fish in the ocean
@nozzap said: The VPS has been down since yesterday. They promised to fix it yesterday, but they never got in touch. Ticket ID: 733842
@HostSlick On 14/04, you replied that you would fix the problem within a day. It's already 16.04 and the server hasn't been available for two days
Ticket #337609
Pending Investigation for 3 days?
my tickets had been deleted twice, first time made maybe 3 months ago, second time was after pending investigation for more than a month
seems hostslick not serious about vps anymore so i give up
Well we will also port from CISCO to Juniper in the upcoming moths, so I feel you here @HostSlick
Most probably we will hit some things that will be forgotten on the settings conversion from NX-OS to Junos. ( AKA will most probably fuck up something
)
Keep up the good work @HostSlick , upgrades are always a pain in the ass.
For all others, just remember that even behemoths like Microsoft and Google fuck up stuff, not even they have 100% uptime and they sell much more expensive stuff that runs on much more expensive hardware with a pretty large support team. ( in other words, keep calm and wait it out, as this provider did not spend a few $$$K just to take he's network offline for popcorn show, he did it so he can expand and provide better services )
"If there is no struggle there is no progress" - and we all love progress right?
With
, HOST-C
he got infected with balkan virus, we don't give a fuck about small fish, and don't care if we lose them...so I guess its time for us to accept this fact and move along
VPS die 5 days, no ticket response, may be they bankrupt
