    Yes, very much. In some parts, worst than Mexico. Rio de Janeiro, for instance. It's civil war there -- not joking. I'm talking about areas with +300-400 thousands inhabitants controlled by criminal organizations that have even bazookas to shut down helicopters from the police. We have our mafia as well, the PCC, that controls the biggest state of Brazil, São Paulo. They are way less violent than the Rio de Janeiro thugs but still they are pretty dangerous and you shouldn't mess with them (recently they killed a guy in an international airport)

    I must say that not ALL of Brazil is extremely dangerous. I live in a place where you can let things in the street and ppl will not pick up. But Rio de Janeiro, especially, is the probably one of the most dangerous places in the earth.

In 2006, they stopped São Paulo -- the greatest city in LATAM -- and made a massacre that killed +500 people, mostly cops but also civilians. Everything because their leadership got transfered to another prision. And now they are WAY more powerful. If we don't do nothing, then Brazil WILL become like Mexico, where cartels have more money than the goverment

    I always wanted to go to the world cup when it was there but aside from not being able to afford it, the rumors always scared me away too.. It is a shame that it can be so dangerous there in rio and sao paulo. I feel like that holds the city and its people back from really exploding into an even larger economy (not that its not big already)..

    Not political; the security problem in Brazil is apolitical. We had right-wing and left-wing govs and both of them didn't solve it. It's more like a... i dont know. A deeper issue, right?

    I do enjoy watching football actually. I dont really have a favourite team though. I find it hard to watch sports on tv sometimes because i'd rather go play them myself ;)

    Mostly the MLS league and USL in the USA. Eurpoean league times are too odd for me. Also feel a little more "connected" to the local leagues

    They definitly dont have the same skill level as the big european leagues but thats not really a big deal in my opinion since they are only competing within their own domain. All teams are pretty similarly skilled though you do have some stand outs some years where you just know one team is going to blow everyone else away.

    The USL and MLS are pretty closely matched too as they sometimes have cross league play.

    BTW day n of no new racknerd LA stock :( Seems they havent restocked anywhere else either yet. Been limited to new york, seattle, dallas, san jose, and dublin for the last 2(?) weeks. Maybe some of the GAs will be for the locations that are out of stock :O

    Yeah, since I missed ALL the GAs on BF thread, I did get RAM upgrade. :) It would be really great to get storage upgrade for the VM, but I don't want to push my luck too much :)

    TrK introduced me to them. Will have to get another RackNerd VPS to run this on, with some other monitoring tools like Uptime Kuma.

    i am having my beszel running on a EUR 6/y VPS and uptime kuma on fly, although i have a synced uptime kuma planned on my homelab too once they are stable with mariadb and i get enough free time to do the migration. Beszel is really nice especially with my docker hosts telling me how every container is hogging my resources. :smile:

    Fun fact, the VM on my home lab that beszel is running on does not have an agent. I guess, I should fix that :D
