I really don't care what they say in Germany. Everyone in here is against you. I have over 161 screenshots of the high steal 7 days after I bought them and several hours after the last post in the ticket. So you intentionally were overselling. Don't pretend like you didn't know. You already admitted it in the screenshot in the ticket.
Yeah, the last days had a couple of good threads. I was quite amazed.
Lets make more
I'm pretty sure I read it in their latest sales thread.
I don't have time to look it up but you can if you're interested.
That's where they made a little joke about German hosts.
And again, I'm not just aiming at Avoro. I think Avoro does it because other bigger ones do it. And that it's complicated not to do it when other competitors are doing it in the same country.
I'm just using this thread to highlight the fact that you never really know what you're buying.
Even if at this price I didn't necessarily have any doubts.
I'm not against dataforest, quite the opposite. They offer a service that benefits a great number of people for a very reasonable price. If I have an application that could cause big spikes in CPU usage, the service may be terminated on a normal VPS if the CPU is maxed for too long. This wouldn't be a problem on a root server. Obviously if you're doing that 24/7 you're probably best off getting a dedi.
I remember that too, but they’re not really that different. Look at their website for example. It just says % dedicated. Not everyone reads LET. You wouldn’t find it okay if Avoro did the same. HostHatch also just did this as a response to a question.
If I were to put myself in your shoes, with your view point, sure, Avoro might be slighly worse, but not a lot. What HostHatch is doing is not far off.
+1
Honestly, I’ve maxed out with 100 % CPU usage on Avoro for about a week maybe. My application worked great. Didn’t track steal though. Then I left it idle for 3 weeks. I had data that needed to be processed, and that was it. Zero issues. I think a big reason for this is that I didn’t buy hundreds without talking with them first.
Yeah, it's simple really, buy the compute to solve the problem you have.
I still find it quite different from my understanding. In one case, the CPU cores seem to be reserved although not pinned. In the other not, but there is a potential promise of being migrated if the overselling factor causes a drop in performance.
I'm not saying hosthatch is perfectly clear on this point either.
I'm a customer only for several storage services.
I didn't even know they promoted dedicated cores on their regular offerings and thought they only sold that as shared cores to be quite honest. Anyway
Stop repeating yourself with "lying", "overselling" and "cheating". You don't seem to know any other words. You have created a post-done. If you don't want to discuss it with the seller, don't act like a kid whose mom didn't buy him ice cream, or like retarded person. Opened a PayPal claim? Fight it there.
Harassment and defamation are punishable in Europe, even if you are from Canada.
You seem to have nothing new to say and keep repeating yourself. If you want justice, hire a lawyer and prepare a lawsuit. You can put those 161 screenshots somewhere deeper(judging by your correspondence, you have a wide throat.), again, as you have mentioned many times before. Round.
I think HostHatch does the exact same thing. They (if I recall it correctly) migrate from high load nodes to lower load nodes on rebuild. Probably no reason to if it all was dedicated😉
@CalmDown name checks out
Wait, so what's the point of getting "dedicated cores" if it's actually just shared? Their customers have never actually used it. Of course if you use 1% of the so called "dedicated" resources, there won't be any steal. Please stop talking about dedicated servers. I already have many and will get more in the future. I got these because I needed a few dedicated cores and it was advertised as dedicated. I love how the couple of people defending avoro are talking about, "but but it is good for a few people". I didn't violate any terms of conditions, and I didn't get their shared VPS which is even cheaper than the dedicated root server they advertise despite both being shared.
You just admitted that you didn't track the steal. So how does your experience have any relevance to this topic whatsoever?
I only needed 4 dedicated cores. I didn't need more than that. I paid for 4 dedicated cores and got 70%+ steal instead. If they can't provide 4 dedicated cores at all times, it's not dedicated. It's shared.
We know your stance already. Thanks for repeating it though. Could you go once more?
Again, I am not sure why we are being dragged into this and why this comparison is being made. I understand the need for drama, but you're comparing two different offerings.
If you would like to go ahead and spin up 300 VMs, and then use 100% of the dedicated CPU on them, you are more than welcome to, 24/7/365. Our price point is at least 4 times higher for 4 dedicated cores. Our point of view has been pretty much the same since forever: it is the provider's job to make sure what is promised is delivered, not the client's job to assume that the provider may or may not be able to deliver, as I said in my last post here, when someone else decided to mention our name while talking assumption based nonsense. Our definition of a dedicated core is, and always has been, a dedicated core. At no point have we said anything else.
If we run out of capacity, you will simply not be able to deploy anymore VMs.
You're welcome to spread your drama and make assumptions about how the world is a bad place, but please keep our name out of it. If you have your own experience, or know someone who has had a similar experience with us, please document it by opening a new thread and including screenshots like the OP has. I fully support your efforts to change the world and this place for the better, as long as it's based on reality and actual data to back it up.
They keep repeating themselves by saying I'm lying when the proof is all out there you worthless buffoon. There is no harassment or defamation going on. The proof is all there. I wasn't even replying to the thread again until they replied today saying they "solved" the issue.
You can go blow your boyfriend at dataforest somewhere else. This is a thread exposing these scammers.
So why don't you reply to them when they keep saying they "solved" the issue? I didn't respond anymore until they stated that. I don't want people to think they fixed anything.
You really just don't get it do you. I give up.
You could've just bought dedicated servers and split it into vms yourself...probably not enough margin to profit from whatever scheme you're getting rewards from though
@hosthatch Ah, the good old HostHatch is back in action. You’re way better at bitching compared to reading, I’ll give you that. I have no issue with your services, neither do I have an issue with Avoro’s services.
Although, you don’t even specify vCPU or threads, you just state ”cores”, when in fact, it’s not, right? How ”fair” is that?
@online7237
Since you are absolutely convinced that you were wronged, just follow through your paypal case.
Good luck to you.
Look at the other replies. The only people agreeing with dataforest are a few who obviously have some affinity with them (like the guy with their company in his signature) seeing as how they're getting so emotional and throwing insults. Even other providers agree with me. Dedicated servers are irrelevant to this topic.
No, I couldn't get more dedicated servers. A lot of providers are out of stock or impose limits until your next billing cycle like hetzner, which I said so many times already.
And that's what I was doing until dataforest responded again today.
Dedicated servers are hardly irrelevant when you're talking about needing 400 4 core servers. You just have to look at dataforests dedicated server pricing vs their root server pricing to identify that they do a balancing act in the background to create a product that meets the needs of most people for an affordable price. Netcup who you seem to have no problems with do the same thing, so I don't understand the issue.
FWIW, I have no services with with dataforest and never have.
So I assume no new thread documenting the claims you made earlier then.
I was very clear regarding what I knew and what I think I remembered/assume.
How about the cores? Why are you lying on the website? And why ignore the question?
Just focus on your paypal case and do not let anything on this thread distract you.
Keep your “cores” dedicated to the paypal case.
Wishing you even more good luck 👍🏼
Another +1 from me.
Great, I'm glad we figured that one out. You clearly did not 'know', but assumed, and were wrong.
I'll be happy to answer all of your questions once you document your earlier assumptions with actual data (such as screenshots, like the OP has provided). Otherwise, I am going to assume you are just trolling at this point with your assumptions, and will have to ignore your need for stirring up drama.
Let’s make a thread. I’ll make one regarding your lies about cores. Maybe you’ll answer in that one.
I’ll even include screenshots.
More drama??? Please let me sleep!
