  • Don't buy VPS servers from c1vhosting. They won't refund you. My refund request through PayPal got rejected. I only used their VPS for 5 minutes and noticed it consumed 438GB of network data. Their VPS secretly consumes your network data

  • "Don't buy VPS servers from c1vhosting. Even disputes through PayPal won't get your money back. I provided screenshots of their VPS consuming excessive bandwidth, still couldn't get a refund. Stay away from Italians; their network is also subpar, experiencing severe packet loss. Their VPS servers are garbage, and they won't refund you no matter what. After my PayPal dispute failed, they, the Italian scammers at c1vhosting, deleted my purchased VPS on February 8, 2024. They removed my VPS. Take my money and go to hell, go meet God."

This has nothing to do with ITALIANS per se. It's c1vhosting entirely.

That company has its HQ in Italy but could be run by a German guy born in Hawai'i from a Chinese mother and a Russian dad.

So ... let's just all agree that c1vhosting should NOT be your first choice if you're planning on using services from it for production purposes. For fun, maybe. But that's pretty much it.

  • This definitely was a fun read.
Went from being hooked on buying a few to being hooked on reading the horde of horrible experiences.
Just as a note for a staff member: might be a good idea to make it clear that this offering has had such terrible reviews, took me several pages to come to the conclusion of staying the hell away from them. Might save some people from headaches!
PS/ Today i learned to ALWAYS check the user group of the poster to make sure they're not "member".

Now reinstated. Does this forum openly support scammers / providers who don't deliver?

    No it's not.

Your payment method is: Bank Transfer

    Amount Due: €1,82 EUR
Due Date: Saturday, April 6th, 2024

    Lowend - [redacted].c1vhosting.it (06/04/2024 - 05/05/2024) €0,82 EUR
Spese di mora (Aggiunte 07/04/2024) €1,00 EUR

    Subtotale: €1,82 EUR
    Credito: €0,00 EUR
    Totale: €1,82 EUR
    ------------------------------------------------------

I have a paypal subscription which was PAID!

I DEMAND the service to be reinstated and the new invoice cancelled. I have not been notified of a price "upgrade", change of method of payment, offered a cancellation, time to move my service, nothing. I only received a reminder which I disregarded as I have a paypal subscription and I knew it would be paid and it was. If the provider changed the payment method, why didn't tell me to cancel the subscription? He takes the money, then suspends the service AND applies penalties?

How can anyone impose without a proper notice a new payment method which costs at least 3 times more than the price and then expects things to go smooth? If you no longer wish to offer the service, then cancel it with advance notice.

If my demand is disregarded, then I will charge back.

He answers after weeks. During this time many other ppl might be scammed in this way. At least they will have the time to move and cancel the Paypal subscriptions once they will see the payment method has been changed.

  • @c1vhosting is this a scam

No, but they do not communicate properly.
Okay, Paypal booted you or the fees are too high, shit happens, notify customers, give options. I am ready to pay a year through CC, NOT Bank Transfer. Changing payment method in secret and then suspending the service and slapping fees for overdue payments AFTER the Paypal subscription went through is simply not acceptable.
I mean, yes, Pyapal is a bitch, we have tons of problems with it, but we do not change the payment method and expect the customer to guess and eat up the extra fees, or let the subscription through then we suspend and charge overdue fees.

This is unprofessional and it got me angry. I am ready to accept downtime, data loss, bad network, nonfunctional panels, manual loading of ISO and ticketing for that, in extremis, but this could have been solved with a mass email and notification as soon as they became aware the Paypal will no longer work for them for any reason. I won't be upset they changed the payment method if I knew about it and I would be offered an alternate method that does not involves fees larger than the payment itself.

Shouldn't it be the other way around to prevent those issues? How could he know that your PayPal isn't a valid payment method anymore? A crystal ball? What's your excuse to not notify clients?

Even more, the payment DID go through with Paypal. It was not cancelled by them, neither by me since I had no idea I needed to do that.
After the payment, the service suspended and invoice augmented with fees for delay of payment that went through and higher than the payment itself.
Do you really think that such a behaviour needs further haggling over tickets answered after 2 weeks?

I expected a mass-mailing "effort", a notification of some kind, switching to a normal payment method, i.e. CC, not bank transfer, as you said, it makes 0 sense for 1 Eur a month.

At the very least a notification:"Hey, idiot, Paypal booted us (or whatever else), from now on you can only pay by bank transfer or move out, bye!"

if the issue impacts many customers and I would think PayPal not being valid payment anymore will fall in the category, some kind of email notification is the least expected

What would you have done in this case?

IMHO the amount of nastiness that Luca has accumulated from his customers under his collection of $1 services is unscalable, unsustainable and unhealthy. Projecting this to 10x his current users, his only way of coping spiritually and corporally would be to puke and self-flagellate thru his daily routine. Or maybe he just sleeps it off serenely.

  • There are several providers that have $1/month services, and most offer good services and support.

Evidently C1vhosting is not among these

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and argued in their defence when others were complaining about TECHNICAL Issues.
As I have said, I don't expect stellar technical parameters or even massively under average, I can take a lot of TECHNICAL failures crap, but this could have been solved with a mass email. It takes 10 minutes to compose it.
Not doing that is not a random failure, a lack of attention or maintenance, lack of work hours, capital or any other thing like that, it is blatant laziness in the best case scenario and malicious intent in the worst.
I will put up with a barely functional service for this price, but that is as far as I would go.
