    What a cruel red world!

    Excellent luck. As a Crunchbits VIP maybe @skorupion will work something out under the table with you?

    Indeed! Kudos to @crunchbits for the VPS crown this year, well deserved! And of course congrats to all the other winners too, especially @jar!

  • Declares themselves the winner of a community voting event ahead of time, using the claim for advertising purposes. Throws a forward-looking disclaimer in, calls it good. Loses. 💀

  • Since MXroute only offers email hosting I guess you could say technically they ARE the TOP1 providers for VPSes... ;)

  • @crunchbits Congrats on your win!

    OR, has a great sense of humor by posting a fun and effective promo and a generous giveaway of his own, calls himself the #1 top provider, fully with tongue-in-cheek, and throws a hilariously worded disclaimer in along with regular clever banter showing he doesn't take himself seriously, provides excellent services at a great price to people who then go vote for him, and then calls it good. Comes in a close second place overall, but actually first place for VPS providers. Not too shabby.

    Glass half empty, glass half full. Either way works.

    Might as well get three, at that price put one in OK too

    @Oldschool said:

    Y'all forgetting they got OK data center along with WA and PA

    I didn't think that was an option for this offer. Did I miss it somewhere?

    We'll honor it in OK too--just not as quickly as early Feb :smile:

    Oh no... I'm going to have to order another one

    By Thor's hammer... me too... if @crunchbits is honoring transfer to OK too... then... well.... looks like I need to know when the next batch of machines (aka "chickens"?) is going up.

    BTW, @crunchbits, what's the approximate timeframe for OK to transfer one of these over? I understand things can shift, but do you have a rough idea yet? This yearly deal is too attractive.

    I want OKC live and customer facing in February. Everything has been in place, except us.

    Yeah, we’ll put a few up in OKC for existing customers.

    @tenpera said:
    @crunchbits, add a bit more yearly please?

    More are inbound

    Interested and excited in OKC too! Congrats on the Top Provider btw

    @crunchbits can you clarify how can we get one of the Allentown yearlies?

    • Order now in Spokane and wait for the chance to request a migration
    • Wait until the last batch of stock and buy directly in the desired location

    Or neither of those are guaranteed, and only previously existing yearlies can be migrated?

    Certainly, to clarify: any existing customer can migrate one-time, if they choose. We’ll give ample opportunity and notice. You’re an existing customer if you own a yearly before we stop racking more by Feb 1. At that point, we will allow transfers and will rack additional hardware even if only one transfer happens.

    You will be guaranteed a chance to move within a reasonable timeframe (a few weeks, multiple notices—we can’t leave the offer open forever, but we’ll honor it if unoccupied space exists).

    If I understood correctly you order one of the Spokane VPS right now and then when Allentown goes live you can get migrated? At least you need to have one yearly before Feb 1.

    I usually look forward to a @jlet88 post because it's generally balanced, logic-based, and very well-written. The fact that you got this makes me feel good that my tongue-in-cheek approach didn't hit too far off the mark :D Especially the fact that I took a generic quarterly earnings report forward-looking financial disclaimer and applied it here.

    All I ever want to do is right by our customers. Continually improve services and offer value. If we can also have a good time while doing so: even better. Half the time we're having convos about intricacies of different file systems (shout out to @nullnothere ), our first *86 computers, or comfy DOS games. The rest of the time are some hilarious AI-generated chickens in datacenters or @MannDude's daily memes.

    I believe there is something nice about being approachable and flexible, something you aren't going to get with a massive publicly-traded provider.

    EDIT:

    Will be doing the drawings later today. No exact ETA.
