As we don't advertise the Yearly stuff anywhere besides the green forums, I figure this message will make its way around where needed.

Going to add approximately 4-5 more hypervisor's worth of yearlies and then thats it. No more.

Currently only 2 of the hypervisors are ported and ready, so some yearlies will have ~24hr delay before deploying. If you have a paid order: you will be deployed. We will honor the transfer requests to: PA and OKC when they're ready. There is no strict deadline, but I can only promise you that I don't want to pay for empty rack space just as badly as you want your VM at new location.

Anyone curious about a bit more behind the scenes reasonings:
The Yearly Chicken was a sustainable "budget entry" and low-risk introduction for customers to give us a shot. We still want to use decent quality hardware and unfortunately the TLC SSDs that we are confident in and keep in our logistics rotation have more than doubled in price since the first Yearly plan was sold. Like most providers, we do try to order ahead and keep stock on hand but as that is winding down it would become quickly unsustainable for the initial build costs to 2.5-3x on these as almost the entirety of the hardware value is in the SSD array backing each node. On top of that, starting to see DDR4 ECC RAM availability/price points tighten a bit. It's still there, and you can still grab some deals in bulk but definitely not what was there 6-12 months ago.

I signed up through your link, thanks for sharing! I only subscribed for a few bucks a month though, so it might take a bit for you to get your referral earnings. I don't get to the range very frequently, so it didn't make sense to start hoarding like crazy yet. Maybe that'll change shortly?

Sweet! It's a cool service, I typically buy cases in bulk from different places when it's on sale but I have ammo2 take like $20 a month in different calibers and usually get a shipment once a year or so. Been using the service for about 5 years now, when they first went beta, it's pretty cool and adds up quicker then you think!

Not exactly--we can make sure you have a slot as soon as the hardware is ready, but you'd have to migrate your data (or wipe/recreate) between the sites. Storage instances do not nicely migrate internally for us when you get >1TB of actual data in use.

Some behind the scenes info, as we definitely have "multiple item winners":

• First round (VPSes) - Drawn from full list completely at random, more posts = more likely to win.
• Second round (Shirts) - Drawn from full list, weighted scores based on activity slightly, but still at random.

1. Do you want to pool resources? No problem. The new platform will be completely scalable. If you can convince other prize winners to give you their VPS, we'll combine resources. Wild west as far as I'm concerned, but we will be giving out 103x of the resources stipulated on the front page.
