    Yep. You cannot transfer the actual server directly due to data protection laws but you can trasfer the remaining term. So the acquirer can just order a server with the same specs and then you will transfer your remaining credit to them.

    No, I didn't ask if it was possible to rent additional IP addresses.

    You mean to expose RDP ?
    No it's not "safe" as we have to use user / password to authenticate
    But if you have a tool similar to fail2ban to prevent brute force on windows, that's okay.

    It's obviously better to expose the port locally and use VPN to authenticate.
    Like always: Fewer exposed services means fewer risks.

    I have just install tailscale VPN and allowed RDP access from vpn address only blocked everything else.

    There are at least 2 things that I don't understand here, so lemme ask and learn something.

    1) Why is data protection problem? Is it not possible to just delete and recreate fresh server with the same specs? In my mind this should be an easy thing to do?

    2) How can acquirer order a server with the same specs when it was a once time deal? I'm pretty sure it's not possible to order the exact same server, but let's for a moment pretend that it is. Wouldn't it be more expensive because the deal has expired in the meantime?

    Color me confused... :o

    That's basically it, the only difference is that instead of you creating the server, it's the person you transfer the credit to.

    You need to create an account and contact support to get the same configuration, explaining that it's for a transfer.

    I may let mine go soon unless I can find something useful for it to do, currently it’s idling like the others from Black Friday / running yabs hourly 🤝

    We are planning a BETA test in mid-March. We will also make a post on LET so that some LET users can participate in the BETA.
    The promotion for HDD storage will then start at the end of March/beginning of April.
