Then I realized, that the site is just broken.

The 39,90 USD one is: PHX-X9SCE rest are over 60 USD/m

Yeah. The first time I saw tokyo server 10Gbps unmetered for $40 per month. I was thinking, god for sake, how is it this cheap?

Yeah. The first time I saw tokyo server 10Gbps unmetered for $40 per month. I was thinking, god for sake, how is it this cheap?

I assumed it would be possible due to hardware being so old, and the 10Gbps being part of shared pool of bigger size, hence not guaranteed, and also with the Fair Use Policy, they could still make some profit, but I was more focused about the UK one as it was more believable xD

  • Seems prices are updated now. Not interesting, Would definitely grab London one if the price would be 40 USD :D

Any EU one with those specs and path.net anti-ddos at 40 USD would be an instant buy, even if its in middle of nowhere like Poland.

My apologies for this, it appears there was a typo in the variable that called for the price which made the pricing appear incorrectly. This has now been corrected.

Yeah we had noticed this right away and actioned to resolve it to ensure everything is correct. Sorry about that.

  • Still the price seems a bit high for a SATA drive.

  • @Pawan said: for a SATA drive

Depending on the model, it may achieve 0.5 to 1.0 gigabit per second transfers to/from it. Anything faster would have to be in RAM/cache.

Unfortunately Tempest does not offer VPS services at this time. We do offer Layer 7 filters to fine-tune the protection for applications and games such as Rust, FiveM, San Andreas Multiplayer, Minecraft, SCP: Secret Laboratory, Wireguard, OpenVPN, among others which are all available within the firewall manager in our client area.

Its a 10G switchport, as you can see it barely goes above 1G in the bench above. Looks oversold to hell, but it could just be that node.

Thanks for your comments, and welcome to Tempest! We're glad you're happy :)

You are correct in that there is a maximum of 2 disks per Phoenix blade, especially with regards to HDDs - SSDs can have up to 4 disks per blade.

Not oversold at all, as you can see in the YABS results provided by miu (the same one you're referencing) it definitely reaches above 1Gbps - 4.87Gbps to be exact. We have ~14Tbps of bandwidth capacity and our network averages 300Gbps utilization.
